Incredible how far the club has come in a short space of time.
At the start LAST season, a significant number of posters on here were criticising the club, the transfer policy, the chairman, the chief executive, the manager and a number of the players. PR at the club was deemed to be at an all time low. Many predicted relegation. This was followed by the usual near season long argument about the relative merits of Pulis and Boskamp.
One season and 11 games later we have a completely new team, have won promotion and are competing in the Premier League. 12th must be the highest league position we have enjoyed in over 23 years. The Chairman has invested in the team, the club, the ground, stadium and its facilities. We have a near full house every week, and Stoke City are all over the media and on everyone's lips.
We've just beaten Arsenal, and in the process have made the management of Arsenal FC look pretty silly in the process with some really strong, positive and professional communication. We're going to Old Trafford to play the English and European Champions in less than a fortnight.
All this has happened between August 2007 and the start of November 2008, about 15 months.
Prospects must be as good as at any time since we won the League Cup in 72. But look how quickly its all changed.
The league is really tight this year, and it will be a battle until May. But with everyone pulling together like this we have a great chance of establishing ourselves in this league.
To use last week's word, it is a surreal experience. But Fortune (especially in football) is a fickle mistress. Enjoy these days in the sun, keep the faith, and let's not beat ourselves up if things don't always turn out exactly as we hope.
The journey continues...

Everything will indeed be okey dokey mate- top post. Funnily enough, it was a transfer regarding Fortune (Jonathan) where we really thought we'd let the efforts of the 2006-2007 season go to waste. When he considered a place on the bench at Charlton a better proposition, I really did fear the worst. How things change
