Would Malbranque have been sent off last night for the challenge on Higgy if, Higgy had, in the style of virtually all our Premiership opponents, rolled around the floor feigning injury?
Also made me think of the 'Boro game earlier this season when Kitson just jumped straight back up after suffering a terrible challenge (from O'Neil I think) - thus resulting in a yellow when a red would probably be more appropriate (compare with the reaction to Faye's challenge earlier in the day).
I'm not trying to suggest that I would necessarily want Stoke players to try and get opponents sent off, but it seems to be the accepted reaction in the Prem.

A lot of the Mackems are accusing Higgy of making a meal of it as it is! I didn't have the best view of it, so I'll reserve judgment.
As for players feigning or exaggerating the effects of a challenge as a tactic, I'll say no to that at the moment. However, head might overrule heart if it becomes evident that honesty is not the most effective policy.

This is why i love Stoke. Proper footballers who aren't overpaid(Well) - AND never cheat.
