Reclining furniture- URGENT WARNING

Friend in Oz emailed me over weekend regarding a nasty accident that threatened the life of a young toddler out there. Apparently toddler was crawling on floor in lounge and older sister, whilst fiddling with the release button to operate foot rest on reclining sofa, released the foot rest which flipped up and caused very nasty injury to toddlers head. Fortunately, although life threatening the youngster made full recovery but surgeon said that it could easily have broken the toddlers neck.
So be warned that if you have reclining furniture and toddlers around the house close supervision is required to avoid a tragedy.

My brother had an accident at work the other week, he works in the main DFS depot and fell into the sofa making machine, bit worrying but his condition is described as comfortable and he'll be fully re-covered in the morning.

Watch out that you don't upset him when he gets out, he might be highly sprung.

Good job it wasnt at the time of a sale else he could have been slashed or even worse written off completely.
