I'm going to have a great day. I'm just off walking for 3 hours up Barlaston Downs with the four grandsons. I'll return home for a roast beef dinner at our yewth's and then I'm off down to meet the lads for a pint in the PL before I watch Stoke progress into the next round with a comprehensive victory over N'Castle. Well, that's the plan. I hope it all goes to plan. Gooooaaaarrrrnnnn Stoke! You can do it. OS.

With all the other things going on at the moment, I forgot to get my ticket, so it's watching on the Beeb for me. Season tickets are very useful for senile gits. I can't believe that today's game can be any worse than the turgid non-event that was Villa v ManUre last night. Hope the neighbours don't mind the shouting (with hopefully not too much swearing .) Not having Sky means that this is the first Stoke game I have been able to watch live on the telly since the win over Nottingham Forest in 1993. (Hope that is a good omen) The weather looks set perfect for a cup-tie and I hope that being live on the telly means that we will put out our best team and give it a real go. Come on you mighty Potters!

Joe, it's a crisp, frosty sunny day here. I've just got back from my walk with the boys. They're covered in mud, soaked wet through cus they 'wandered' into the stream without my permission and are all round Tone's waiting for dinner to be served. We've got ten for dinner today. I've just pinched the end bit of the beef joint. Luvverly. So, that's the fost part of the day gone well. I've nipped round home to get some dosh and get changed and as soon as dinner is finished, we're off down to the match. What a brilliant day. As long as we play well, even if the result goes against us, nothing can spoil it. An unsoiled sheet will be brilliant though because that will mean we haven't lost and the least we will have is a replay at their place. Alli...tell 'pops' that I'll be giving a shout for him in his absence. I hope he's ok. Gooooaaarrrrnnn again, Stoke. OS.
