I try not to speed Twisty because I was done doing 50 in a 40 limit and got 3 points. I now have my satnav set to alarm if I exceed the speed limit by 0.5 mph. Yes I do creep over the speed limit, never on purpose though, but my satnav screams at me but you are deliberately breaking the limit on what sounds like a regular basis.

I'm sure everyone goes over the speed limit to a certain extent, but there's a world of difference between doing 33 where the speed limit is 30 than doing 45 or 50? I regularly see cars doing 45 or 50 on a street near me with a 30 limit, and with the word SLOW painted on the road - not just boy racers either.

mr wheeeze if i had my way caravans would be banned from the road. i repeat if you drive like that on your test you will fail. may i ask what happens to the person going thru green at the lights as you tow your caravan ?he/she has to take evasive action?one day you will get caught out. how do you fancy a 40 tonner smashing thru your door? might give you a headache I got caught simple as that. Plenty of people drive thru on amber and dont. You dont like caravans? Fair enough and i respect your view. For me personally though caravanning is soemthing i love. My parents did it when i was a kid, and now im my following suit. Its a great way for me, the missus and my 2 young daughters to get out and about, discover some of this country and enjoy some great weekends and holidays away. Its also fairly cheap. I've been driving 14 years and thats the first driving offence ive ever been done for as well. Never been done for speeding but then again im not likely to when im pulling a caravan eh?!
