Brilliant, had one of those silk scarves, the parka, great memories, thought terry conroy could have been one of Boyzone ! what about the tackling ??? watching that reminded me how tough the game was then, how its changed, makes you wonder what drogba / ronaldo would make of it

I don't suppose there's a video of this doing the rounds anywhere? If the usual suspect(s) know of one - given the new rules on 'ere - a PM would be very much appreciated. (Was it just the DVD of the 72 final, or was there more than that?) Ta ah

I missed the first 10mins or so... When I switched on they were showing the highlights of the semi final replay at ManU. The pitch was just as shocking as I remember it! No way would they play on a pitch anything like that today There were interviews with players as they are today talking us through the highlights of both games The tackling from Stoke in the final was shocking - had it been played today they would have had to abandon the game due to the number of players sent off! And we weren't a dirty side! Significant that players stayed on their feet at all costs until their feet were chopped away - then they were lucky to get a foul . The ref let everything go - it must have been difficult to get sent off Surprising that there weren't more injuries - must be speed that has made the difference??? They showed the crowds before and after the game and the coach wending its way through Stoke Happy days! Well done Collymore - a man of many talents

I can't get Sky (mountain in the way) so like Andy I'd appreciate a link to a video of the programme. Failing that a DVD would be great. PM me if able to oblige - I'll pay a few quid for a DVD.

What got me all choked up about it was how bloody proud they all were to play for Stoke City. You simply don't get that any more. Also, am i the only one to share Nick Hancock's PIN number?

A very good programme last night. Really enjoyed it and it's always nice to hear what the players made of the day. The images of the Stoke fans were absolutely incredible- how many scarves?!!

Just connect a scart cable between the Sky+ box and the DVD recorder, change the input of the DVD recorder to AV1 or AV2 depending on which input you plug into. Hit play on the sky box and record on the DVD recorder.
You shouldn't have any problems but let me know by PM if you need any help.
PS.. was that a request for disc?

Spot on there mate. todays game has changed and it's not for the better. In the 72 team you had players that wanted to play for the team and the city and they played with pride, unfortunately there are to many players who are quite prepared to sit in the stands on a Saturday afternoon and trouser an obscene amount of money.
