Any other prem team would mostly assume they'd win. Could these 'Newcasstle' fans be the prems realists? Everythings set up nicely for a cracking game, one way or another.

Something like if we lose at Stoke who will be the next manager.

Talking to my Geordie mate today and he reckons a lot of Toon want to lose to us to get rid of Massive Heed even though its their only chance of a trophy. I don't really believe that but it gives an indication of what they think of Big Sam.

Naaa we want to win. You have a good chance though. Sam will play 451 and defend. Big punts to our little strikers, and fast pacey balls to the slow viduka.
He'll play our best winger as a left back and keep the left back he paid 6 million quid for on the bench.
He'll play two defensive midfielders instead of an attacking one like he does at home. He will then tell our leading goalscoring centre forward from last season to play out on the right.
If anyone plays well and/or attacks he will sub them and if we go a goal down he will take off an attacking player and bring on a defender. Our defence will also change as he has never played the same defenders together for more than two games in a row. I kid you not!
If we score he will tell the whole team to back off and defend.
Then if you do win he will say that 50000+ geordies all have an idea on how to play but he will do it his way!

I'd be bricking it in their position to be honest, however as people have said, given our FA cup history its all looking like it will just be an anti-climax for us

Bloody hell, whats he scared of? If thats his approach to a game like this Newcastle was all too big for him. A Bolton is probably just about his level if that is how he tackles a situation like this.

Nicky Butt has already been quoted as saying "it will be a difficult game" and "this is the reason we become footballers, for big games like this".
Sam has them bricking it before we even get there. No offence, but it is the 3rd round of the f.a. cup not the final. Players should be confident.
Sams tactics will all be about how to stop you playing. He will have the players so scared of Fuller they won't know what to do. He devises tactics for the opposition and hasn't once this season took a game to a team and let OUR international players EXPRESS themselves.
Maybe after sir bobs outburst he will change his mindset and attack...we hope so....I just very much doubt it.
When we complain about him we are called fickle by the southern press, but you will see what I mean. Don't expect a good football game though!
Just as a further bit of news so you understand what you are up against he was quoted today as saying he has had a tougher time, as the first two years at Bolton were in the bottom 3 for most of the season and we should show the same patience.
That made us feel much better........
