disappointing of course, but the effort was there, unfortunately we were up against a very impressive side, who i'm sorry to say we couldn't compete with. For the majority of the first half i thought we held our own defended well, and tried to pick out mama, but i think with the absence of rory and his launch, we could only cause them limited problems. Up-front we had two target men, and with nobody running onto the flick-ons we didn't look like scoring, i'm all for adopting the long-ball but, i can't see its benefits if we don't have someone in the fuller mould feeding off them. Faye was again the pick of the bunch for me, distribution superb, and dealt with every theat soundly, Lawrence again for me, was average, and with rory missing we really needed his set-pieces to be better than they were today. Can't knock the effort, we certainly haven't shamed ourselves, i'm still highly confident we are staying up, and despite the league standings, i think the vibes are positive, its a tough month for fixtures, and lets be honest we would all have settled for a point from the last two fixtures. Hard Luck Lads, you gave it a good go. Role on Pompey Oh....and by the way Bosingwa practically caught the ball, and Fuller should have had a pen.
