Oh would it not just round the season off if the Vale now go into administration with their non existent cash flow, combine that with Stoke hopefully staying in the top flight and what a glorious promotion anniversary that will be,
Seeing as they have already received all the money for season tickets off the suckers I mean supporters of the club and it will now be partly used to pay off Sinner and his useless signings, they may well just have to go bump and take a point deduction to put them in a dog fight with all the other minus point teams just below them......
Still, I believe the offer to the boy racers is still on the table and if they charge them the £2 as stated to park up and rev, it may just get them a new minibus for their blue square travels.
Please Please Please god let it happen.
;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

IMO I would not like that to happen! The City needs the rivalry! I used to love the atmosphere on Derby Days....

I find this simply amazing WHY would any FOOTBALL fan want to see another football club go bust? It wouldn't be any good for anybody if they did. The rivalry between the two clubs is well and truly over and has been for the best part of 10 years. It buggers belief to me, it really does

Shame to be honest, i'm a die hard Stokie but wouldn't want them to drop out of the league. They would probably never recover. I enjoyed it when we were competing in the same division.

I enjoyed it when we were competing in the same division. despite the gulf between us - vale still show our scores on their scoreboard (only if we're losing, though!) to a raptuous applause and chorus of "we hate stoke". My loyalties to Stoke mean that i think they deserve everything they get - it's karma!

i wouldnt enjoy them to go bust, only for the fact that id prefer them to carry on getting dicked every week
i walked into work this morning, and the first thing one of the vale lads said to me was "fuck off before you say something" and its that good banter that we need in this city.
but fuck em

Give me a Vale fan over a glory hunter any day of the week
I dont like Vale and am not that bothered about what happens to them on the pitch (I would laugh if they went down again) but no true supporter deserves to see his club go down the pan financially in a world where Lpoo, The Shit and Chelsea 'fans' ring in the financial death knell of small clubs around the country.

Exactly, I can't stand Glory Hunters. I had to put up with the knobs today saying how it was a goal, a simple "what was the final score" shut the knobs up for a wile.

Vale mean very very little to us any more IMO
I dont go around the pub on a Saturday saying Vale got beat 4-1 by Macc - I am only interested in the league in which we are playing
They have sold a lot of season tickets - a very commendable effort, and to want to see them in administration is going a bit far - but thats only my opinion
Not saying I want them to win every Saturday - but they have history like ourselves, and every other league club, and their fans are TRUE fans like ourselves - not glory hunting ****stains

If you want a quality game, then it's got to be Stoke - call me mental, but i've seen Vale play!

I wouldn't like to see them go bust. I have family and friends who are Vale supporters and I wouldn't wish on them. Football has changed over the years and so have its supporters. I can appreciate that the rivalry between us and the Vale has degenerated into venom spitting, but I can remember when it wasn't always this bad and thats a shame.

Now i'm a loyal Stoke fan and always have been but I wouldn't really like to see any team go into administration apart from a few which i wouldn't lose any sleep over but i wouldn't really like our local teams slipping down into virtually the point of no return as i really couldn't see them coming back up if they were to go down.
Of course, all i care about football wise is how the mighty Potters go on and yes a healthy rivalry is always a winner but wishing that the vale go into administration is a wee bit extravagant don't ya think???
I agree with padders01...well said mate, it just wouldn't be right if they did go into administration and I've got quite a few mates who are vale supporters + they would be absolutely devastated if they were to go down.
I think some people are taking this 'rivalry' a bit too far tbh but that's my opinion ;D

Alot of you must not have gone to school in the late 90's and had to have every single one of the gloating fuckwits rub it in your faces that Vale were the pride of the Potteries and all that bollox. Don't kid yourself they are the most selfish, bitter and twisted bunch of fact hunts in the world by a long mile. Port Vale and there pathetic vile supporters deserve to be in the gutter, and don't kid yourself into thinking that they wouldn't wish the same on us. In a modern society of econimic and social regeneration Port Vale and its supporters hold the City of Stoke on Trent back. Fuck them and lets hope we never have to suffer being even on a par with them.

4quit, i did go to school in the 90's and the rivalry between the Vale and Stoke fans was good banter, if they were to go bust then it would never happen again. I would like my kids to be able to have that same fun as I did in the 90's.
Some of the games in the 90's were great, some of their players were very good too, Guppy, Bogie, Van der Laan, Foyle, McCarthy to name a few, i struggle to name more than one from their current squad
It is very unlikely for us to drop down 3-4 divisions as it is Vale to be promoted that many divisions but to want them to not exist at all is awful.
Not only the players but what about the hundreds and football club employ. More unemployed people in the area, no thanks.
Good luck to them and I hope they get a decent manager in. Sacking Rudge was the worst decision that football club ever made.

Not disagreeing with you there Stokie25 - show someone a bargain ??? and their pennies will come out It will be interesting tomorrow night to see how many turn up at the Brit - its only a tenner, but Im betting we struggle to make double figures (10,000) - yet come Saturday you can guarantee our third full house running At the end of the day - with the credit crunch, and the chances of seeing basically a reserve game, how many do you expect to turn up tomorrow All Im saying is that the Vale fans have taken advantage of a cheap season ticket, and good luck to them - Im sure many of us would do the same in their position
