Unfortunately I had to attend my best mates wedding down in London yesterday so wasn't at the game to witness the mighty potters magnificent effort yesterday.
From everything I have seen and read, it sounds like I missed out on a tremendous day out. Typical.
Still, having returned home a short while ago, I listened to praise and grumble and have to say that TP has given his best post match interview ever.
One part in particular had me bursting with pride and echoing just how I feel right now. When asked about negative views of the media, Pulis responded with "I don't care about anything or anybody outside of the football club and Stoke-on-Trent. This is our club...".
I have been one of TP's biggest critics, but the one thing I have always said about him is that he is obviously has deep affections for our club.
These are great comments and long may he continue to ram my utterings from last season and previous seasons as far down my throat as possible.
Roll on Tuesday, Saturday and the following Sunday! ;D

I liked his response to the disallowed goal aswell! I'm delighted the ref got it wrong ;D

They say luck evens itself out and by my reckoning that is the first bit of luck we have had this season.
We have been undone by miskicks, fluke goals, and silly errors but at last we got a bit of good fortune. 2 of their players WERE offside when the ball was struck though. Marginal it may have been, Torres and Kuyt were both offside!

They were both offside but at the time TP didn't know and thought the ref had got it wrong.

I'd love to play one of Tone's interviews of three or four years ago next to this season's - he's got so much better at handling the media, I don't think it ever came naturally but I reckon what we get now is much more like the real Pulis when you meet him one on one. Easy to see why he gets such incredible loyalty from the dressing room too (unless your name's Parkin and you've eaten too many sour grapes).

I bet it's the first time a player's looked forward to the prospect of humble pie though sal?! On the subject of Tone I would imagine that having read and heard the numerous ungracious comments about the 'disgusting' decision to deny Stevie Wevie Gerrard his 100th he will doubtless put his comments right and accept that having seen it for himself it was undoubtedly offside I also find it amusing that everyone has a crystal ball that told them that had the goal been allowed Liverpool would've blasted us in to space...never considering for a second that we could have found an equalizer

....and so the disallowed goal pales into the MOTD archives forever and ever - BECAUSE IT WAS OFF SIDE!!!!! Yes by a hair, granted - but the pundits would much rather have it that it was wrong and leave it there, than accept it.
I personally thought that Pulis's smirky comment of "yes, it was iffy - BUT to get a decision at Anfield was great" was brilliant. As if no one goes there and gets any decision FOR them. Pulis says what we're all thinking - what a bloke!
