I notice that along with preparing a bid for Nigel Quashie, Sheffield United are after Portsmouth's Richard Hughes
This is a central midfielder who worked with Pulis a while ago, and TP still holds him in high regard.
It wouldn't surprise me if we went for him too- shouldn't cost any more than £500,000 I wouldn't have thought

Iasn't he too much like Diao?
Aren't we looking for something a bit more dynamic to partner Salif?

I'd like to think we were after after someone with a touch more flair, but is Quashie (for example) that dynamic?
Personally, I think Glenn Whelan would be a cracking signing

Yeah, Whelan and Quashie both seem to be deep-lying, passing playmaker types rather than bust-a-gut-to-get-in-the box goalscoring midfielders.

Sheff Utd might have the Prem handout cash but who in their right mind would want to play for that twat Robson ???
Choices eh! Stoke - 4 points off the top or Sheff Utd - 5 points above the bottom 3!
