is far more crucial, despite the form everton have produced so far they are still going to be amongst the sides challenged for uefa cup places this season, so people must accept ANYTHING off top 6-7 placed sides ( Man Utd, Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs, Villa, Everton? ) is an un-expected bonus both at home and on the road.
Baggies and Hull at home are both fairly soon, and are both back-to-back fixtures, these games are the games points must be taken in.
4 games in, and besides the first-half performance at bolton, i think the lads have played very good, its a different level, our long-ball football and physical and arial attributes aren't going to bully as many sides as last-season, but that doesn't mean points can't be taken, and our style of play can't cause teams serious problems.
Once February/March area arises THAT is the point for me that games become must victories, points become gold-dust, for no lets take as much as possible from the christmas period, and get behind the lads, every game.
This task to defy all odds of the eyes of the country, the pundits and bookmakers righting us off, the opposing teams labelling us ugly and bullish, is not just a task but a marathon, and if the lads keep us up at the emirates in may, on nothing but goal-difference, they deserve a firm pat on the back, its task achieved, and lots of people looking rather red faced.
Hull, Baggies, Blackburn, Fulham, Bolton, Sunderland etc...at home are BIGGER and more important games than the trips to old trafford and the emirates, because these are the games that can make or brake our season, give us an insentive into our chances of survival, and hopefully result in us picking up pivital points and achieveing our goal.
