Credit is due to griff today, he had a very sound game in my opinion, distribution superb, and got the tackles in, if he can play to that standard on a consistant basis, than maybe he does earn his right-back start.
Today for me demostrated has premiership football can really punish teams, first half stoke pressed and had more shots on goal, but having someone like yakubu against you, creates problems, as for me he is one of the very best finishers in the league.
I thought at times Everton had to much time and space on the ball, but generally the battling ethic of our lads shone throughout, pulis said the right things at HT, and the response pleased me, the officials had a shocker, and fullers chalked off goal could have made a different conclusion to the game had it rightly stood.
There is so many if's and but's from the game, but i for one am proud of the second half performance, the league table doesn't tell the true story, in my opinion the team deserved a point at boro, and at least a point today, but thats football, sometimes you take the points in these games, sometimes you don't, i'm sure the lads trip to anfield next saturday ill be tough, but don't rule us out.
good effort today, role on liverpool.

The only difference between Fuller and Yakubu is that the latter will have one chance and take it. That's what stops Fuller from being a top player, he had a half chance in the second half, yet panicked and blazed it over...

Best performance for months, hoping the new signings have give him a kick up the arse and he gets back to his best.

Credit is due to griff today Not according to the bloke that sat behind me! He was telling everyone that Griffin is wank! I thought he did well again today. For me, he is improving - I was impressed with him at Middlesboro too. Keep it up Griff

To be honest I think Andy gets far to much stick on here, fair enough he was poor last season but he has played well this season and today I thought it was a toss up between Griff and Higgy for M.O.M.I thought Cort was poor again today ,does far to much ball watching and is a poor marker.

Thought Griff was excellent again today, in fact if you go through the XI not many had poor games really. All of the back four did quite well but we still ended up conceding three and that is a bit worrying.

Given time our defence has the potential to be outstanding, they are all new to each other, just come back from international duty, and still performed fairly well. As they develop, they'll get a better understanding of each other, but I have one thing to say about them (one of them!) but what the hell was Cort playing at? We were VERY lucky not to have that penalty given against us, but I'm still scratching my head now. Oh, and yes, Griffin did play very well, didn't put a foot wrong!IMO

Ive slaughtered him in the past and I still think we got promoted because he got injured.. However ,he has got better in the last two games and he played well today, but we still managed to concede 3 goals again so obviously things still aint great!
