Just watching on MotD... how come there is only 2/3 seats segregating the fans and not even a line of stewards, whereas we have to have a whole block caudened off?

It is strange seeing how these lot hate each other so much, or perhaps the southerners have no axe to grind with the scousers.

It's the same at West Brom though, just a small fence seperates both sets of fans.

A double edge sword or even a trident rodgering of Stoke in the past
1) Certainly on occassions we've not helped ourselves
2) Previous senior officers in the Staffs force making political and career advantage of our rep
3) In previous seasons the club and indeed it has to be said early members of the FF bending over backwards to assist the rodgering of the clubs fans by the pol;ice and the licensing authorities
Just as segregation and fences when they were first introduced wasn't the answer, by keeping the segregation in previous years it didn't help the problem or myth but merely added to it , naturally on occassions fans raise to the myth ...tell a kid enough times they're naughty, eventually they'll believe it, then starting acting accordingly
It's taken 11 seasons at the Britt to arrive at the position we should have started at ( we did for Swindon ) ..a position most clubs and forces operated under even in the dark days of the 80's...fans /clubs/police a like all gained the experience to deal with fans if not actually mixing again then to be very close to each other.
Understandably then this season the authorities , the club and indeed fans are playing it slow..despite what they'll like to spout none in this city have any real experience of the current situation , unless they've operated outside of the city ( Vale is the same ) they've got 20 years of catching up to do on other clubs.
Up to the fans to lead the way , show them up for what they are and not the other way around , by not giving them the ammo they need , and just as fans would want to be proven to be in the right , I'm sure privately the police are itching to say ' I told you so'
Show them ,people can behave and that the current levels of 'no mans land ' is as ludicrous as the entire segregation of individual stands was previously.
Up to us - all of us ,not just those Stokies in the south stand - though it needs to be aero tollerance in there
