It's just been confirmed - I'm glad to see him back, although he's got a big job on his hands and I suspect they're still going to be relegation candidates...

They seem to be a difficult club to manage Sal. There must have been an easier one.

I don't care how it's happened but am chuffed to see Zola back in the Premier League and on our screens! What a legend! Hopefully we'll get some good training shots of him showing the Hammers how it's done

what exactly has Zola done to earn himself a managers job @ this level? Could be a good success. Done well at U21 level for Italy and helped coach a Seria B/A side. More experience then Vialli and he did ok Prob with his standing in football as a player he would be able to get a lot of assistance also.

Any player as good as he was should make a good fist as a manager.
It doesn't necessarily follow of course ,but he is, along with Thierry Henry and Ronaldo in the top three of all time greatest imports to the Premiership. I sincerely wish him and the club all the very best.

Any player as good as he was should make a good fist as a manager. why? It's all about man management skills, motivation techniques, coaching during the week etc. etc. I would have liked to see somebody like Gary Johnson given an opportunity. How are we going to get an experienced English manager managing the national team again if thye don't get opportunities at the bigger clubs?

Gary Johnson might want to manage a club without someone else buying & selling palyers for him though.

I think Zola will do the business at club level. Shame he's gone to a club that will never amount to anything than a team to make up numbers in the Prem.

Maybe they will have more respect for someone of his calibre.Although Bellamy aint the sharpest in the the drawer, remember him asking Souness what he had ever won?
