Hopefully there will be myself and a few others going fancy dress to Liverpool, just wondering if there would be many others up for doing it with there group that they'r going with? Be funny, and a good laugh to see 10-20 of us fancy dress? I want a big group of 118 118 lads on the go but ideas welcome ;D . 'Bunny' need not reply

Ben Please no.. it's a bog standard away game ..they'll be enough you've got no history blah blah going around , without what the f'n L is that.. Though admittedly some of the Liverpool DT's do look more like a Christmas trees than footie fans. Besides just think what it'll sound like in court when the judge asks you 'tell me Mr Buggs Bunny can you identify the person in court today who tried to pick your pocket and rob your carrots '

I'm with scouse on this, its not christmas, and its not the final away game of the season, and its been done to death , and anyone who goes to scouseland dressed like harry enfields the scousers sketch is about as original as a picture of a tennis player sctraching her arse

Ben up to you mate
what the scousers think of me supporting Stoke or indeed Stoke as a place ? not arsed I've had almost 50 years of it
But I tend to see fancy dress as very old hat..and usually done for the look at me effect!!
Sorry, but doing it for a bog standard league game justs seems very small town mentality..they'll laugh ...but believe me they'll be be laughing at you for being so small time not with you ..and will take the attitude that you clearly think a trip up there's your cup final
Trying to be honest mate

Can see where your coming from, but its not for "look at meeee", and im glad they'l laugh, as whoever ends up doing it - thats the point!
And er... they are one of the "big 4" so in a way, its a mini cup final as if we win - it'l be mental and would probably go down in history.
Hardly a "Bog standard league game" When the likes of Gerrard & Torres are lining up against you. Bog Standard in my eyes is Blackburn, Boro, Fulham, Pompey & the likes!
Obviously your a person who seems to take what other people think to heart, so not really your cup of tea? End of the day, its only for a laugh, few memories, and just to add abit more to OUR away day experience, nobody elses. So if your not interested, I dont want your PC views, just dont reply!

No no no no and NO!!
As Scouse say's it will make our support look small time and will be a point for ridicule. IF you do decide to come in fancy dress, I only hope for your sake you are on official transport as I wouldn't like to be in your shoes walking down Scotland Road dressed as a 118 118 man. If you come to Liverpool in fancy dress, stick to Matthew Street with the rest of the braindead morons on stag do's.

Ben Just a pick up on the game itself Personally I see all league games on the same level..as I always have..until we reach a position in the season we're perhaps we start needing definte wins to either stay up..or qualify for europe But I agree if we win it will go down in history ..it'll be the first time we've EVER won at Anfield in the top flight ( that's old division 1 included ) A peace offering if we win dressed as Bugs Bunny or not seek me out , and I'll buy you a beer...indeed I tell you what I'll buy you a bottle of vive clicquot to celebrate properly

Sorry Ive been out. Ok deal - But i seriously doubt any of us will go as Bugs bunny !
I doubt we'l go fully dressed up or anything... I dont think many will go to the extremes im prepared to go to, I think ten 118 118 lads would be a pisser, but thats just me. . . . !!
How about, see you at the match, and you buy me a beer anyway?

Agree - fancy dress should be reserved for the appropriate occasions
This is not one - We are playing a team with fans who think they are a bit special (despite half of them being on an away day from Milton Keynes) - We should certainly give them plenty of 'we support our local team' though !

We'l outsing them anyway, how many tickets have we been given? Is it 2,500??
Scouse - Well im not sure how were getting there just yet, its between Train & Coach at moment.
Not driving anymore away games as I had a brick put through my Car window up at Middlesboro! The day on a whole eventually cost me £350 ;D
Not good!

Ben
Sorry to hear about M'boro..
Perhaps that , a couple of events at bolton and all be it very ancient experience of all the places we'll visit is why I suggest going easy on the out and out partying, until people get their Prem legs. That despite what sky would have people believe , the Prem isn't all froth , prawn sarnie eaters and glory hunters.
At the moment it's still to early to assess the make up of our own away followings ..never mind that of the home clubs.
Not spreading doom and gloom or panic.. or saying we don't enjoy , or we hide away , just saying lets be no mugs either , cos that will invite problems
