With the following all now options:
Rory Delap Salif Diao Dom Matteo Liam Lawrence Tom Soares Richard Cresswell Glenn Whelan Michael Tonge Danny Pugh Seyi Olofinjana Amdy Faye Demar Phillips?
Who would be your 4-man midfield?
Mine:
Lawrence---Delap---Tonge/Faye---Olofinjana
Really tough to decide, i think a fully fit Salif Diao fireing at all cylinders can do a job.
Glenn Whelan showing the same form he showed at Wednesday can prove useful.
Tom Soares has been instrumental at Palace for a while, and the likes of Cresswell and Pugh are capable of doing a job given the opportunity.
With the depth we have now everyone has to work their socks off for a place, which can only be a good thing.
Thoughts?

Olofinjana on the left? Lawrence--Olofinjana--Soares/Whelan--Delap Should start against Everton IMO!

I'd probably go for
Lenny Soares Oli Tonge
Can't see TP going for that though as it's not the physically strongest lineup.

Olofinjana on the left? Lawrence--Olofinjana--Soares/Whelan--Delap Should start against Everton IMO! Neither Delap or Tonge are anymore left-midfielders than Olofinjana.

It's not that much of a dilemma.
Phillips, Diao, Matteo and Pugh aren't good enough Cresswell is a centre forward
so
Lawrence Oli Delap Tonge/Soares
The others can fight it out on the bench with Faye being banned.

I'm with RAF - but at least we've got a bit of depth there at last, that's a good feeling. And realistically it's going to take a few weeks of trial and error to get the best combo.

Michael Tonge v Liverpool in League Cup Semi-final (about 4 mins 20 secs in). If you watch from the beginning, keep an eye out for some "exciting" Carl Asaba and Salif Diao action.

I think out of all the midfielders we have, we can only reastically consider the following: Lawrence Delap Olifinjana Whelan Faye X 2 Tonge Soares Diao However, it will be a nice dilemma for Tone on who to pick. Can we afford to leave out Delap and THAT weapon for a stronger all action midfield? If so, I think a midfield below could be quality: Lawrence - Olifinjana - Soares - Tonge However, if we cannot leave out our Rory, then I would like to see: Lawrence - Olifinjana - Delap - Soares Very strong bench from midfield too. Its all good! SGS

i'd have to go for
Lawrence---Delap---Olofinjana---Tonge
see how delap does there, if he doesn't perform then bring faye back in after his ban
also bring soares on after about 60 mins and see what he can do

All I can say is thank fuck Luke ain't manager! I concur, i'm in no position to manage Stoke City, so don't panic, however......i'm not saying Olofinjana should play wide-left every game, just perhaps try him there against Everton. Tonge may do a better job wide-left i hope he does, but this board is about different people's opinions and mine is just as valid as yours.

I don't think anyone has considered the fact that Ab. Faye can play midfield and with Amdy suspended could realistically find himself in there to add the extra muscle. Probably allow Griff to keep his place with Higgy/Sonko in the middle. Tonge must be nailed on for left wing. I reckon Sorenson Davies - Sonko - Higgy - Griff Lenny - Oli - Ab. Faye - Tonge Kitson Fuller

Faye - Tonge Kitson Fuller I think Pulis has hinted that Faye/Sonko are the 1st choice CBs at the moment. One's left footed, one right footed, adds pace, power and height with the calmness and composure of Faye, they should have an understanding already from playing with Senegal so no way will we see him in Midfield. Higgy will slot into left back. Probably Griffin on the right. There's always one trying to complicate things! ;D Anyway, I think Olofinjana is a 1st choice CM for Pulis at the moment, along with Lawrence on the right. Amdy Faye was playing well but has lost his place for 3 games so I think Delap (sloppy display v Boro but he was out on the left to be fair + TP will want his throws as an option) will be CM and I think he'll start Tonge on the left (TP said Tonge would add balance to the side). So I think Whelan/Soares will be on the bench and will replace Delap if he struggles, Diao is just back up at the moment. Forget Matteo/Pugh/Phillips - I don't think they are in TPs plans. Cresswell is now free from midfield and is with Sidibe as an attacking option if needed. Davies still hasn't even featured for the reserves but I think we'll see him soon (from the bench) and if Griffin hits a poor run of form again I think he'll replace Griff and Higgy will go Captain. I think Griffin will be happier with Faye/Sonko/Higgy to be fair.

Griffin has started steady to be fair and I think he'll get better with a stable defence.
Davies STILL hasn't appeared for the reserves, obviously he's still regaining his fitness after injury and I wouldn't start him yet, he's going to be a few weeks away from match fitness even when we play Everton.

losing delap would be like losing 10 chances a game AT LEAST, but maybe its a chance we gotta take to add some quality. then bring him on last 20-25 to launch the ball into the box?
Lawrence Oli Soares Tonge
surely that will be the tactic to bring him on last quarter
