Seasons Greetings to you all. Does anyone have the low down on whether we will be able to watch the Cup game on TV?
With a 5am, Monday morning kick-off, I could really do without having to seek out a 24hr pub to share with a bunch of ruddy-faced Geordies. Tea and toast on teh sofa seems much more civilised.

Best bet to make sure is to look at the Foxtel digital onscreen guide tomorrow morning and see. They display the scheduling for the next week. BUT it does change and alter quite a bit during the week on ESPN. If I find out anything definite (and its hard at this time of year) I'll post it on here.

Thing is the games live in the UK are the ones shown here but ESPN have the FA Cup rights here and can be tempramental. You know, show it on delay at midnight or something.

I haven't got crapping ESPN (oh how I miss Tommy Smyth's 'Old Onion Bag' ). I was kind of hoping Fox or even SBS would pick up some of the earlier games. I was also hoping that the strong SCFC lobby group within the Aussie media might be able to pull a few strings

This is not a topic that's making me happy! 1. Don't you get the interweb* in Australia (and/or doesn't SOP work!)?! 2. WHY is it not on BBC World (I will have to have a word!!)?! 3. What you need is a UK based relative and a remote control TIVO box (and No1 above) This really does need sorting before August next year!!! ah

The technical jargon has lost me!
We get BBC World but its a news channel.

1. I can watch all Premier games via the internet & a program called SOP Cast (as far as I know, it will also work in Oz) 2. Well just for Sunday, the BBC need to show the football on their news channel 3. The last thing is very technical - and requires the internet - but it means you can watch your Sky Box (located at home - or at your dads) while you are aboard (even in Oz). And yes, I have tested it ... backup plans, they're the way forward! (Sorry Joe!) ah
