Aside from the disappointments of us having the chances to maybe win this match, we have come to 6th place Plymouth, where we have a crap record and took a well battled point.
The unbeaten run continues, and with Hull at home next, we surely must be favourites to win that, and get back to winning ways.
Sadly the table doesn't resmeble our hard-work, with us now dropping to 4th, but New Years Day, see's fixtures hopefully swing in our favour with the sides above us facing tough opposition.
Southampton vs Watford Ipswich vs West Brom Bristol City vs Coventry
I can very much see southampton doing us a favour, and also ipswich who are proving excellent at home. You would expect bristol city to win, but as we saw earlier in the season, coventry aint bad on the road.
It was disappointing to see another un-affective performance by big mama, but all players have bad spells, and aside from the last few games, his flick-on's, service for fuller, etc. have proved crucial in our style of play.
Russell Hoult didn't have the best of games to be honest, but i know Simmo was poor at Barnsley, but i wouldn't have brought hoult in for a game of this difficulty, maybe play him against hull at home, depending on how simmo's performance went.
And the increasing concern continues, why are we leaking so many goals, with an on paper strong back-four? One thing is for certain this problem needs to be dealt with and fast, it is very unlike stoke to concede sloppy goals, and even though it isn't costing us hugely atm, in the latter part of the season, we simply can't afford to do that.
Overall as previously said, a slightly begrudged point, but full credit to TP and the lads again, let's have three points on new years day.

Fair play to the lads but disappointed TP dropped Simmo away from home - in the end it sounds like Simo saved us a point!! The irony!

Get a win at home against Hull and those 2 points away from home will look tremendous, lose and it counts for nothing.

yep, with the fixtures the teams around us have, this is a big chance to be exploited, and tbh if we are serious promotion contenders, hull city at home, should be a routine win.
