Am I the only one? Seems like the old man really is going for it! As a Stoke fan for more than 20 years this is like a fairytale! ;D

Not been shy on the fees. Would love to get some inside info on the wage structure just to see where we are at in comparison to the big boys.

I wonder if the ones who have been slagging Coates off and calling him tight over the last few weeks will admit the same?
MrSausage?

If he invests a bit of money into the club and we stay up, he wins the money for being in the premiership, which is alot more substantial than getting relegated He also wins the money people have bet on Bet365 on Stoke going down. worth the investment
but also on a non business side Take my hat off to the bloke for what hes done for us

Anyway he seems willing to take this gamble to keep us up, and I think we as fans should be really grateful we have a Stoke fan as our chairman. Would you swap with Lpool or Man City?

It's not as if we're short of a bob or two though is it ?, that said, it seems he has given Pulis a sizable kitty, well done Coatsey lad, don't close that purse just yet though

I thought he was going to keep all the Sky money for himself, slap Bet365 on the shirts, take control of the catering and leave us to rot in the Premiershit?

In fairness he could have given TP a smaller budget and trousered some dosh to offset the big wedge that he clearly invested last season...but with Sky funds, extra attendance money and increased sales through the club shop...this season maybe will not be as draining on Coatesy's personal bank account as last season

About time, he's still got a lot of making up to do Spot on. A lot of people have forgotten a lot and many others are simply too young to remember. Leopards do NOT change their spots and Coates is a Leopard, I know this because I spotted him eating the remains of a zebra. ;D

I wonder if the ones who have been slagging Coates off and calling him tight over the last few weeks will admit the same? MrSausage? I simply say it as it is. Anyone post pubescent can remember what Mr Coates has done to this club over the years. Even the Icelandics would have performed much better but for Coates' manipulation of the deal which brought them to Stoke. We shall see what the future holds, but Coates is now in a win win situation .... Again.

I am very happy, but not surprised.
I think last season that he showed by spending half a mil + 20grand a week on Ameobi (bad choice) that he was willing to put his hand in his pocket to gain our success.
PC is a king,

Ericson ,Sausage
I think your being very harsh on mr Coates.
15 million spent on players
Now you can gaurantee the 6 brought in will be on at least 20K a week thats a million in wages each ,so theres another 6 million with others to come hopefully.
Leave the old bugger alone hes doing great jsut enjoy.

Errrr...most of the spending is funded by sky and increased revenue after getting promo...not knocking Coatesy but when there is so much cash floating around its not diffiult to spend it! If he didn't spend after such a big payout then there would be a huge outcry against him
