Played against Terry Lees in the PDSL a number of times. Total prik and didnt like being skinned and losing a tackle to a younger player. Likes to threaten people does Terry.

Funnily enough I play for the same team as Stephen Foster's brother (the one who was sent off for Barnsley) so he'll be getting a bit of grief when I next see him.
I can't say I've ever played with anybody who's made it yet but I've played with some who play in the Conference and also with some who've been released from Reading, Stoke and Vale etc who almost made it.

Mama Sidibe! It was just a kick around on the firestation pitch but he came over and played a game of wembley with us. And yes he couldnt hit a barn door, shot from 6 yards, went nearer the corner flag than the goal!

Ian Butterworth played for Coventry Nottingham Foresy and was captain of Norwich (he only ever played in the top flight) he was my best mate growing up and I reckon I must have played for and against him thousands of times and in several sports, I also injured him VERY badly (chopped his finger off, accidentally)

Kenny Burns (Forest, Birmingham & Scotland) Used to play for Marchington in the Uttoxeter league, well into his forties. Used to just sit in the centre of midfield (he was even bigger by now ) and knock the ball around, quite well too! I didn't play against him as I'd finished playing, but I was the oppo manager a couple of times.

As a kid, I played against Dean Whitehead, Matt Taylor, Gordon Strachan's son (apparently Gordon was visiting Mark McGhee who was Reading manager at the time) and I scored a blinder against Rhys Evans (Swindon keeper). Woo!
Completely unaware that they would ever become pros of course.
(in case you're wondering, I lived in Oxfordshire as a kid)

Played against Alan Dodd well after his pro days were finished. Don't remember the team he was with. But he still had it, the legs were a bit slower but a great player, and an absolute gent..
Also Ronnie Jepson and his brother dont remember his name. Played up in Talke or somewhere up that way..
Remember playing against a very young Neil Adams on Watery Lane at the back of Longton Cottage hospital. Couldn't get anywhere near him.

I am very proud to say I nutmegged Alan Hudson at Staffs Uni on the astro pitches. I just ran off with the ball laughing!!! Also played against a guy called Stevie Carter who was supposed to be an ex pro for Derby but I had never heard of him. Was on the same YTS course as Paul Reece (goalie) and Charlie Bishop (centre back) during their apprenticeships at Stoke and played 5 a side with them.
