I don't care what certain fans, certain pundits and certain clubs and papers say, please stoke carry on the long-ball, carry on with the use of Rory's throw, and carry on with the persistance to try and pick out mama or kitsons head.
Our long ball and physical and arial strengths are what wil hurt teams the most against us, that style of approach will win us games, because even at this level sides will struggle to combat it.
Yes, by all means mix the play and play flowing football at times, we have players like fuller who are capable of anything on their day, so by all means thread balls through the middle and spread the ball out to the flanks, but using both styles of approach is pivital, we have the ingredients to do both, and let's be realistic we wont be able to play every side in this league of the park with flowing football.
If we want to stay up this season, which i firmly believe we will, we need to make the Brit a place to fear, a fortress and as hostile as possible, home form will keep us up, anything on our travels is a bonus.
Why people question our football is beyond me, its proven to work, we gained promotion from the championship through mainly unity and graft, but also in my opinion the ability to adopt two styles of play against teams.
Football is changing both financially and in terms of quality, so the standard of the to flight is improving season by season, and the vast majority of the championship sides have previous parachute payments to make them able to invest in better quality, and ultimately improve the standard of that league also.
We all know the media look to criticise our approach as frequent as possible, but let's ignore them, as a fan it personally motivates me for us too suceed, and i hope that rubs off on the players what they read in the media.
Points count for everything not value of entertainment, let's win ugly if need be, let's dig our heals in and grind out points, because points make prizes, and let's leave the book-makers and the media red faced come the business end of the season, where i firmly believe we'll answer our critics AGAIN.

Spot on mate, and this was a view shared by a large number of Villa fans when I was on their forum this week. They think most temas outside of the big four will have a hell of a problem when visiting the Brit if we stick with the physical and direct approach and maintain the atmosphere that was witnessed on Saturday.
