There were quite a fewempty seats against the Villa obviously a few people awy on hols etc.
But also there was a batch in the John Smiths Upper all together.
Maybe between 50-100 when the game was deemed a sellout.
Maybe these seats were the ones given to the Thomas Cook weekend package.
Surely if Thomas Cook have not sold them then we should sell them normally.
Thoughts?

They are corporate seats mate. Brewery's and the like. My father in law had some tickets for there last season from a brewery rep.

If they were the Thomas Cooke seats, then that's a good deal we've done ... It would suggest TC have paid for them up front (given they were empty). TC would be mad to have done that, but you never know. It would also means that for "sell out games" Stokies would know a source of tickets (I wonder, if it is the case, whether TC would sell the seats without "trimmings"?).

These seats are right next to where I sit. They're nice and padded, and I'm pretty sure they're the corporate ones. It's also where the scouts from other teams sit, scribbling away in their notebooks. It's nice when they're full - especially in the winter, because it keeps the wind off me.

Its a pity those seats couldn't somehow have been sold to the Stokies on Gordons Bank. Pity to see empty seats when Stokies couldn't get tickets.

Joe, as far back as I can remember there has always been a group watching from Gordon's Bank - even when we were pulling in only 12,000. But I agree it would be nice to see Stokies in the corporate seats when they're not needed for guests etc. Not sure how the club could manage it - maybe have a last minute standby list?

Good idea. Better than empty seats IMHO.
