About time the baggies got some back.
At the family Christmas party, West Bromwich Albion might be that brash young cousin lacking the brains to work out how to use his garish and expensive new toy.
He is clumsily inept, has no sophistication and he's loudly nouveau riche.
Worst of all, while the rest of the children play gratefully with their more modest toys, he throws his against the wall like a spoilt brat.
And whatever game he plays against that poor cousin from Stoke, he shows none of his advantages in life and invariably ends up a sore loser.
And so it was again on Saturday as Stoke - recently considered by some in the media as muddy-faced country cousins to Albion's top hat and tails - emerged victorious yet again from a league fixture they have now lost just once in their last 23 since December 1988.
Ah, December 1988, an age when a broadband connection was something Santa would use to keep his trousers up, while an i-pod was most likely something you'd find living and breeding in George Berry's beehive barnet.
