I hope this helps. My mate was up at the ground this morning and rang me to say he had seen someone who looked something like Lua Lua or Peter Ndlove get out of a car with a Stoke official.
Having seen the the photographs this seems like a pretty good description.

markscfc72 is actually Tony Pulis, his source is himself so I don't think he will mind.

bogus, you're not the only one who thought that our scouting facilities hadn't stretched so far, (Moscow) as instanced by a Guardian quote, from TP, at the week-end. He said "our weakness has been that we haven't got the expertise in the foreign market"! Wonder what Gunnar thinks and if TP wishes that he hadn't been so stubborn. He may have ignored GG, but it's surprising what the thoughts of foreign loans can do.

Can't believe Appiah is a free agent (mainly due to an injury that he has just recovered from). He has been training with Brescia- with Vassy Perhaps a triple Ghanian swoop? Dramani, Kuffour, Appiah? ;D

Knowles, nice fact. The company I work for is based in Brescia, and I am going out there to stay at Hotel Touring, where Brescia train at the begginning of sept. Might see him if he aint signed for us by then!

if TP is using Reknapp's portsmouth side as a blueprint, he could do worse than get a squad that disapears during the ACN.

He said "our weakness has been that we haven't got the expertise in the foreign market"! Wonder what Gunnar thinks and if TP wishes that he hadn't been so stubborn. He may have ignored GG, but it's surprising what the thoughts of foreign loans can do. my understanding of this is that now, and even more so back then, we don't have the size/quality of scouting network (which i assume isn't cheap) to know the quality of what we are getting from the foreign market. Therefore TP is reluctant to spend cash on an unknown quantity. There's certainly no shortage of "foreign" players in the current team, but they have still come from the uk market, as its the one TP and his scouting network knows (imho). Be pleased if this lad signs. I know little about him, but the prospect of genuine width, and actually having some balance down the left is enough for me. If he does have significant PACE, then it will be a real boost. We're still very short of pace in the side, particularly in midfield. Pace is crucial, particularly if we end up 4-5-1 in some games. You must have pacy midfield palyers to join the front man in that system. In terms of the big picture, this guy would be signing number 7. I'm also certain he's not our last- at least we'll use our to domestic loans surely?!?! We are after all stoke, and TP is after TP, so that's at least 2 more. I also think there's money available for another striker. That's just a hunch. If we can continue to add, the we have a chance. It'll be tough, lets face it, how many of our players would get into the villa starting 11 that we'll face on saturday? But if we keep adding, and increase the strength and depth of our squad, then we'll have a chance. It's still tough to see where the goals will come from- and we're worryingly shaky at the back (tho Ab faye and Davies to come in still)- and it'll be a tough season, but we'll have a fighting chance with these palyers to come in, and ric and liam to return.
