a maximum transfer fee and maximum wage in the game? As more and more years go by the gap between the " big four " and the other premiership clubs seems to getting bigger, and the top 4's extra finances see's them out-price every other club. More and more sides seem to be folding or getting into severe financial mess, as they can't compete with other sides, and even the championship now is made up vastly of sides with millions of pounds from previous premiership parachute payments. I honestly believe a maximum transfer fee or wage cap would come in useful as it would not only give other sides more chance to compete for players, but it would also allow a player to make his move based on the footballing aspect not his weekly financial income. I think with these caps inserted, we would probably see a far more competitive premier league, where every side is equal in terms of how much they can offer a player, and it could see the top four change, with these clubs not being always able to out-price teams for the best crop of talent. I just think as the seasons go by, money's influence on the game is become more and more apparent, and it will reach a stage where it destroys the passion of the game, these days loyalty counts for nothing for the vast majority of players, and when discussing a move their weely wage is more important than the clubs hopes and aspirations. I just wish there would be more players out there, who aren't willing to sit on the bench all season and earn double money, instead of joining another club playing every week and taking a wage cut. Thoughts?

Let the big four go and join an elite European Super League for all I care
That would make the Premiership a real competition then - the only downside being that we cannot have the pleasure of beating the Shit
