We have been without a left winger since Hoekstra left and the situation is a complete joke. A left winger with a left foot, clearly that gives us balance and an outlet. As showed on Saturday without Lawrence we have nothing on the flanks at all , so when he gets injured or banned ? I would suggest we actually need two more wide players in the squad not one for that reason. Delap really has to be a last resort on the right. TP must now know that we need two new full backs. Davies looks like the right back slot will be taken but Griifin has never played well there so should go to left back where he has performed better - in reality the Premiership is two much for him and he should in effect be cover for both full backs in the long term? Captain as a squad player ? Out transfer policy has become a joke and as I posted a month or so a go the Premiership is not so forgiving as the championship and by the time we get the players TP wants by the end of August? we could be adrift. An example here : Amdy Feye has clearly been available all,l the off season so why leave it till the day before out first game that really is a joke ? We need some luck to just pick some points up while the hopefully 4 or 5 new players start to bed in. It looks like TP has one eye on next#t season already if you ask me? We have few players with Prem experience and surly that is where we should be looking ?

I would have thought Amdy Faye was on our "B list" and as such was picked up when our first choice target wasnt signed.

Amdy Faye was signed because we couldn't get a work permit for Austin.

Probably right Claus, but there are some days since Austin was out of the picture. A bit afraid that Amdy is past it, and the need for a trial, an old PL player on trial???? Was a bit of a panic buy? What have we actually paid for him?

I'm a little worried about the comments that TP has made about strengthening the spine of the team.
I know that we are not in a position to turn our noses up at any decent squad improvements, but if we are focusing on strengthening the spine, does that mean that he sees no need to improve the flanks????
