I think the next 2 weeks will decide whether we stay or go. It's simply down to that.
To put the same defence out as last year in the prem we are lucky we only conceded 3 which is a big positive.
TP knows what we need to stand a chance, the next 2 weeks will be vital, if he brings in the right players and i think he has done for 3 (Faye, Kits, Oli) so far then we are rocking.
We need at least 2 more hopefully 3 defenders. A left creative midfielder / winger and a bloody good striker to work alongside Kits with fuller as a super sub ! So that's a min of 4 players but ideally 5 in 2 weeks !!!
Davies looks like it could be 1 down with 4 to go but i would have him at CB with Faye which would really be a good defence in the centre.
That's my opinion, the players he brings in will make or break us this season and it ALL comes down to the next 2 weeks.
Come on TP do us proud as you did last season, let's spend some money and show the premier we mean business, Stoke City are now in top flight again and we need to stay there !

Good shout, its all down to how we reinforce now, people say that yesterdays result will make players think twice about coming, but not good professional hard workers i hope, we need people who want to acheive stuff, we need hunger and experience.

I know hopefully the Faye purchase will open a few players minds to we are serious, will be harder than before yesterdays results / comments but we need experienced premier players.

i agree with all the above but i also think it comes down to how tp uses these players, hes got to get us playing football in a different way and have the confidence in these boys being able to play it!

It also helps if defenders can do the basics, like marking and getting to aerial balls first.

Our summer transfer policy seems to have been a total tactical cock up again, unfortunately it now boils down to who we can get in who is not injured and match fit and not waiting on a work permit in the next 2 weeks, wasting this month's matches whilst waiting for players is a complete cock up; on any mobilisation contract you mobilise before it starts and you hit the ground running not wait for your client to kick your arse and threaten you with contract termination before you act. Hull's new signings didn't think they were serious when they signed 2 months ago did they? Geovanni signed before anybody else didn't he? How do you know Davies will be better than what we have without seeing him play regulary?

Judging by TP's comments in the papers this morning I seriously fear that we're not going to get in the creative players the team is crying out for:
"We need more quality. That's been our biggest difficulty. The chairman has put the money up but people won't touch us because of who we are and where we've come from".
Okay, we're relegation favourites, and despite the chairman putting the money up we still can't compete against established Premier League teams in terms of wages, but I think we're also going to have to accept the fact that certain players just aren't interested in us because of how we play, or how they perceive we play.
That's an upalatable thought that some of us might find hard to swallow, but I'm afraid it's looking more and more like the truth.

There must be a left-sided player somewhere in Europe who we can get for £2-3m and £10-15000-a-week who's better than Cresswell, and all-but-oblivious to any argument about playing style.
You'd think we could financially afford to take a punt on THE best left-sided player from any of the weaker European leagues who'd only be too happy to come to the Prem on a massive wage increase.

as has been said so many times, Pulis initial list was so restricted by his quality criteria that we were always going to end up in this muddle. Even the most ardent Pulista muct accept that this sudden conversion to European targets is a desparation measure coming far too late.
But we are where we are and lets hope some good comes out of it, might turn out to be the first step of Pulis' rehabilitation.
