for me simmo as got be back in as our number one! thats twice ive seen sorensen now and i aint been impressed, all pre season the talk of getting a new keeper in as taken over the fact that we need two full backs and a left midfierlder. if i was simmo i would feel very pxxxed off at the fact a very average goalie as taken his jersey away from him, i work with a villa season ticket holder who wet himself when they heard we signed sorensen, saying hes useless, well that showed yesterday. he cant catch, he definatly aint commanding, and his kicking is nothing short of awful. simmo as won us more games than lost us with his performances so get him back in now!

Pulis has got to look at this but because he has chased a keeper for nine years it seems and finally got in Sorensen then he will certainly stick by him for a while yet like has with his his favourite captain marvel Griffin ffs!!! But they both could cost or more important points by the time Pulis drops em

Agreed, I didn't think he was that bad at all. He gave the defence a deserved bollocking after the third goal as well, which you rarely see Simmo do.

for the first goal he watched a ball sail over him, yes it was a fluke but surely positioning as got be better, always expect the unexpected! the second goal he was stranded on his goal line, why not come and punch the bloody thing? and you could make a point with the third goal he could be more commanding! all my opinion of course but i would like see simmo in after all the hard work hes done for us over the years

I don't think anyone would have stopped the first to be honest. The second, Davies had two men on him, one significently taller, so staying on his line wasn't a great mistake. The third maybe he could have done a bit better yes, but despite how good a shot stopper Simmo is, the amount of dodgy 6 yard box scrambles last season, namely Barnsley away, are ultimately what led to him being dropped.

I think, after seeing video of the goals, it is fair to say Sorenson can't be held responsible for any of the goals (although at the time I thought he should have claimed the ball when Bolton scored their second goal). There is definitely confusion in the defence and we need a decision on who is actually organising it. From the evidence yesterday we had no one on the park (including Sorenson) capable of that. However, TP has chosen his number one and I think we have to respect that decision and give Sorenson a decent run in the side. Personally I'd have gone with Simmo but then thats probably why I'm a software developer by trade and not a footbal manager

i think simmo being dropped would surely give him that kick up the ass to do even better, he has been fantastic for us, i would just like see him given the chance show the form which we know he can produce. imo sorensen aint even half the keeper of simmo

You can't say he should have claimed the ball for the second, there were three defenders in front of him and no keeper would take the chance of claiming that free kick because they would have to get through too many bodies. If he missed it we would all be saying how shit he was, and there's not a lot he could have done to save the header. The fact that he won it at all was a disgrace from a defensive viewpoint. The 2nd and third were down to bad defending, but then there is always the argument that he should be marshalling them better. Not sure Simmo does this any better than Sorensen did. I'm not defending him, I just think that our problems on Saturday weren't down to poor goalkeeping.

Sorensen did NOTHING WRONG yesterday! His kicking compared to simmos is excellent As was his handling! To say he watched the first sail over his head is bloody stupid, that would have caught out the worlds best keepers, total fluke of a goal that was meant for a cross!!!

I agree totally scfc75, Sorensen definitely wasn't the main problem that needs addressing, the defence was where it went wrong.

Simmo to come in if Sorenson gets injured (or needs resting, eg after international duty!). His time will come and he is professional enough to wait for this. I think that when he gets his chance, he will remain first choice keeper for the rest of the season. Having said that, Sorenson is a decent keeper who can't be faulted for his overall performance yesterday.

For the second goal if ryan had stood in front of Davies there wouldn't have been a problem.

I don't think Sorensen did much wrong yesterday. He wasn't to blame for the goals, and he was quick off his line to clear, when our defence weren't doing their job. And seeing him rollock Griff for not being able to defend was good.
