for the away teams coming including the big 4 we proved this last season against newcastle with a championship squad with more players with more experience we should be okay at home weith big crowds there to drown the away fans out even if were losing just sing and we will play although i dont expect many points away just belive and have faith.

We all knew this was how it was going to be.
I really can't wait for next Saturday now. Come on Boothen, let's make as much noise as we can.
GOARNNNN STOKE!

I would also like to add
if the away fans sing well sing louder if the away team plays well play better if they score well score on more

They will BUT don't over estimate the effect of the Brit as a fortress. It can be ace when its full and noisy but as far as raucous noisiness goes probably isn't any different to the majority of grounds.

To be honest Joe if Bolton was a bench mark their fans were desperately quiet for almost all the afternoon. Obviously most Prem players have at some stage played in white hot atmospheres so I don't think we could intimidate them too much but we could certainly raise our own players to find and extra bit of energy..

Yep deffo no doubt. Most away grounds will be quiet against us this season. We aren't the most attractive fixture....for some reason! ;D

I was shocked at how quiet the Reebok was apart from the Stokies. One of the problems is that the far end from us isn't really a home end - the upper tier was less than half full and the lower tier wasn't much better. Instead of a big Boothen End type of atmosphere, the Reebok has pockets of fans who give it some wellie surrounded by hordes of Debenham Dummies!

This season Bolton introduced a delegated "singing stand"
Most of the Bolton fans I spoke to deemed it as an idea to stick all the chavs and nutters in one place
The Bolton fans were chanting "Singing Stand - Your having a laugh" yesterday as it was a bit like a library until after there third and even then it wasnt very noisy
In fairness there goal celebrations were noisy and if they could have kept that up it would have been a decent atmosphere from there point
I too was surprised at the number of empty seats they had.

the only thing i worry about is the fans around us who expect us to win 3/4 of our home games and only lose a couple. There will be times when average teams turn us over at home just like there will be the odd result when we beat good teams away from home
