why did bolton refuse to give stoke more tickets when they could only sell 19000 themselves? Perhaps they dont need the revenue or didnt want the away fan noise to drowned out the rather quiet home fans.

i was surprised to see empty seats in our end after all the fuss and bother on here of people not being able to get any. Ditto. Extremely disappointed to see this. I was lucky and got a ticket on Sat morning from someone who couldn't go to the match due to illness. Wish people who can't go to the match in the end would try and pass them onto fellow Stokies.

Gary Megson is said to have been behind the decision not to give Stoke more tickets. At the end of last season Bolton gave free travel to fans attending the matches at Boro and Chelsea with 2,000 and 3,000 travelling.Bolton got results in both matches with Megson believing that the away support played a part in the performance. With the£30 million plus cheque from Sky that clubs receive, the extra revenue from another 2,000 tickets at £21 each really is a drop in the ocean.

The tickets didn't actually sell out, I think most stokies assumed they did so didn't bother to try and buy any.

The tickets didn't actually sell out, I think most stokies assumed they did so didn't bother to try and buy any. They did, I didn't and I did in answer to the 3 statements above. On Fri 8th I rang up the ticket office and was told that there were no Bolton tickets left. I can fully understand Bolton restricting ticket sales if that is what they did. Make full use of home advantage. I hope we will whenever possible

Megson is astute, he knows the noise stokies make and although we drowned them out anyway it would of been like a stoke home match
