Joe Ledley? Cardiff apparently rejected a bid for him a few days ago - maybe it was us and we came back with a better offer?

Loans from abroad don't count against our English loan limit do they? Perhaps the winger is a continental season long loan.

I doubt it. We couldn't afford the right foot of anyone from Barca.
The story of Rudge's scoting mission being a Polish player who they thrashed in a Champions League qualifier last week makes more sense.
Maybe the centre-forward. He scored 23 last season, and got 2 more yesterday...

Joe Ledley? Cardiff apparently rejected a bid for him a few days ago - maybe it was us and we came back with a better offer? It was Everton. We really need a left winger, this guy's putting two and two together really as it's almost certain Pulis will have one (and many more players) rapped up before the villa game as Pulis knows we'll get trounced with the current defence and midfield.

Barcelona played Boca Juniors last night was rudgey there, do you know? Rudge went past the players lounge 5 mins before we kicked off - so, unless he got a flight after the match, he wasn't in Barcelona.

No mate. Only just logging on, I have been at work since 7am and dont finish til 10 tonight, just on a quick break. I am assuming my mate was not told the name of the player as he would have put it in the text. If work is quiet when I get back to work (which I very much doubt) I will try and get hold of him.

We need another forward who is a goalscorer
We need a left side midfield player
We need someone else to add to midfield
We need two full backs.
Then what about injuries ? More class needed.

I was going to suggest Messi too :-)
Perhaps we could grab that Henry fella and put him on the left wing, given Tones preference for doing so! Only on loan mind, we don't want to commit to any sort of contract. Scholesy would have a heart attack.

Rudge went to Barcelona to look at a couple of Wisla Krakow players who were playing against Barcelona.
I am not saying this winger is (or is not) as a result of that trip just that the info has come from the person who said he had gone there, and that we were signing Davies, both accurate.

This is one Wisla fan's run-down on their squad. He doesn't seem to overly rate any of the squad? Glowacki is injured, Pawel Brozek is very loyal to Wisla and could have left several times for better clubs in my opinion but is still with us AND he inked a new long term deal. personally i don't see anyone being sold right now with us in the middle of a European campaign EVEN IF the money is being tossed around, not yet at least. but if someone was sold i'm hoping its Zienczuk
of all the players we have, with value and potentially for sale:
defense --Diaz is a versatile, solid, young, fast defender... but his strength isn't there yet so i wouldn't say him
midfield --Lobodzinski is a right mid that plays and starts on the National Team for Poland, he is solid and fairly creative but hasn't lived up to his potential at Wisla. --Jirsak is a young talented midfielder that is one of our best midfielders and could play any spot in the midfield. i don't think he is quite ready yet to leave --Boguski is similar to Jirsak but likes it more on the flanks, probably our best midfielder so far this season, he is a poor man's Kuyt pretty much --Zienczuk is a veteran whose been around for a bit, sort of like Lobo hasn't lived up to his potential, he is a left mid. if you take a guy i hope this is him. he has big game potential and had the 2nd most amount of goals in the Polish league, but i believe we should have sold him a year or two ago when we had the chance with his value being deent. he has big game potential and the stats BUT he doesn't show up in the big game, plus Boguski, Piotr Brozek, Diaz, and Malecki could feasibly do his job. i am wishing and hoping that is the guy
attack --Pawel Brozek, leading goal scorer in Polish league, needs to work on finishing, pretty fast and gets the stats but could definitely have been better. over the years he has been improving and is on the up and up. he is fairly loyal to Wisla and is considered in my opinion a Wisla boy. he will do anything in his power to help Wisla in Europe this year. if he is sold we'd have to be eliminated from all European competition i'd think. which we still have the Uefa Cup, so if we get eliminated he maybe available for winter break.
of this list... the players i didn't mentioned are either too old or not good enoughFound this as well.... Biggest stars: poland.worldcupblog.org/1/polish-league-season-20072008-my-review.htmlMarek Zienczuk (Wisla, 16 goals, 11 assists, 6,67 avr): Zienczuk’s career best season. He was the driving force behind Wisla’s success and helped Pawel Brozek win the golden boot. His goalscoring record is even more astonishing if we take into consideration the fact that he didn’t score a single goal last season. Unfortunately, he’s not a player of international status. Received chances from Leo Beenhakker in friendlies against Hungary and Estonia but failed to impress. Too old to be considered a prospect for the future.
Looks good on youtube - but don't they all?
The player rated their 2nd best player was a forward with 23 goals
Pawel Brozek (Wisla, 23 goals, 5 assists, 6,59 avr): Finally realised his talent on the Polish league level by winning the golden boot award Brozek has been tipped for great things in the last 6 years and was heralded as the most talented Polish striker in years. Now he just has to make a leap on an international level. Just as in the case of Zienczuk, Brozek won’t participate in this year’s Euros. He played in three friendlies under Leo, but found the net in neither of them. A horrible display against the USA sealed his future. Nevertheless, a lot of journalist would have seen him in our Euro squad. I’m not entirely convinced, I still expect more from Broziu.
And their 3rd best -rated player was a centre-half
Arkadiusz Glowacki (Wisla, 0 goals, 0 assists, 6,16 avr): In my opinion he’s the league’s best central defender. Always regarded as a great talent he even took part in 2002 World Cup. Unfortunately, his career was stained by injuries ever since. This year he proved that when healthy (played in 26 games) he’s rock solid at the back. Haven’t received a chance from Leo this season; in the past he was blaimed for our losses against England (own goal) and Finland (red card). In the wake of Jacek Bak ending his career I think we can’t forget about Glowa in the next qualifying campaign.
