STOKE DOOMED SAY BOOKIES
Sky Bet's Odds Compare All Prices
Bookie Paddy Power are paying out on Stoke City's relegation from the Premier League following their opening day defeat at the hands of Bolton!
The payout, expected to cost the firm around £30,000, is the first time a bookie has paid out on a season-long bet on the first day of the campaign.
Stoke were always expected to struggle in the top flight, with their pre-season relegation odds as short as 4/9. But having lost 3-1 to fellow relegation candidates Bolton their odds have tumbled further to 2/7.
Paddy Power himself said: "Stoke fans knew they were in for a tough season just to survive and this defeat has confirmed it.
"If you're losing to the likes of Bolton there really isn't much hope."
The firm are also offering Stoke season ticket holders a no-strings attached free £50 bet, with Power adding: "Perhaps our silver lining offer on a grey day for Potters fans will ease the pain of the long season ahead."

"If you're losing to the likes of Bolton there really isn't much hope." That quote is never true. No professional organisation would say that!

I'd like now what price they would offer for us to stay up? If they are gonna give silly odds it may be worth a few quid.

I wonder how much we are to stay up SGS

got to see the funny side....it's just a PR trick on their part.
If you really want to get back at 'em try and mobilise 17000 season ticket holders to put their "free £50 no strings bet" on China to win most Gold medals at the olympics... they might not find it so funny paying out the thick end of 120 grand. ;D

What a fuckin piss-take
Shit and Arsenal have had major problems at the Reebok in recent years, and we lose 3-1 and all of a suden we are absolute certainties for relegation?
I bet with PP on occasions, but they fuck off now - thats for sure

18,000 * £50 = £900,000
lets fleece them , every get the £50 bet and put it on a nailed on certainty and then walk away with your winnings

I would guess the £50 "no strings attached" bet is a bet on us staying up.
They wouldn't give 17,000 people a free £50 bet to place on whatever they wanted, would they? It'll surely be on an event that they are convinced will end in their favour. i.e us being relegated.
