Shall we just keep any olympic discussion here?
The yanks B team just broke the World Record in the swimming relay heats...There's going to be so many records smashed this year, watched Phelps smash his own last night too.

Phelps inevitable.
I don't think it was really the B team like they suggest. At least 2 of those will be in the final, I only see Lezak and Phelps coming in. Cullan is rapid anyway. The other guy wont be more than 0.5 slower than his replacement either. Cracking swim from GB though, Hockins split must have been 1 of if not THE fastest in the entire heats.
Excellent to see a local girl getting a showing. She was told she wasn't competing then turns up out of the blue! Didn't look anywhere near out of place either, well done Jess Sylvester!

Likewise, great achievement for people so young to be competing in the olympics...Let's hope he's a real future star

2 of the best races I've seen last night. Adlington in the 400m and then the relay after. news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/olympics/swimming/7553258.stmThe funny thing is, Bernard was world record holder going into the race at 47.50. Sullivan broke that on leg 1 with 47.24, Phelps equalled it. Lezak then went 46.06!!!!! against the world record holder, considering the guy struggles to get under 48 normally that is absolutely amazing.

We all know why Murray lost today.
So he could win the US Open , whoever gets past the third round at the olympics will do awful at the US...

Its not constructive, its not relevant to any of the GB teams chances, but I found this really funny

Vasyl Lomachenko of Ukraine beat featherweight world champion Albert Selimov of Russia 14-7
Decent fight, really wound the Russian up in the last two rounds ;D

It's just ended mate, the Brit was in top spot but Michal Martikán ran last and won it. Silver medal though - he did very well.

damn, we never quite make the gold medal in the kayaking. Every time in the Olympics. Really frustrating.
