£1200 ish - also when doing online quotes, just change your date of birth to what it would be when you want the insurance to start

Go onto a price comparison site and put in 17 as your age.

BTW Hes 19yrs

My lads just changed his car (Only had the Saxo 2 months was a right pile of shit) for a 53 plate Punto Sport and its putting another £270 on the price of his insurance. So now its costing about £1310 which i didnt think was too bad.

yeh quinn direct gave me a quote of £1446 which isnt too bad considering its quite a powerfull first car. except i found it quite hard to beleive as all the other car insurance companies gave me prices around 3000 pounds.

Jesus f**king wept! And heres me thinking im hard done to paying 350 quid a year fully comp for a Megane Scenic 2.0RXE! I was 19 when i passed my test back in 1994. I paid £450 a year, 3rd party only for a Panda 750cc! (dont ask me what possessed me to buy a bloody Panda! )

What possessed you to buy a bloody Panda? ;D ;D Honest answer is that i wanted to be different. All my mates first cars seemed to be Fiestas. I was different all right! Cos i was the only with a totally shit car! Top speed was a whopping 60mph and the clutch cable snapped on my first time out in it and i had to be towed home!

have a look on comparethemarket.com, or similar, I went on there and saved £100 (from £500 - £400), I know they say it in the ad's, but you can save a packet

if i was you get a scooter. like everything else in this country were getting ripped off. young people today get nailed for everything and don't get paid the same as us 30-60's. i've waited 10 years to get a decent quote £325 for my subaru impreza full comp. express insurance (birmingham) good luck.
