As if serving 74 days in Strangeways wasn't punishment enough. Newcastle United have landed further blows on poor Joey.... No not sacked him or even docked his wages...according to to 'The Independent'...they have 'denied Barton the use of an executive box and the occasional services of a club driver' Now that will teach him!!! Newcastle continue to be a pantomime joke!!

Nice to see the FA keeping on his case though - after a 15 game ban according to the tabloids!

to be fair to newcastle they were looking into either sacking him or making him take a paycut but during the time he was inside 3 premiership clubs contacted his agent and said they'd have him and pay him the same wages so if they had sacked him the scumbag would have probably ended up making even more money.

He has been punished once why should he be punished again?

He should be punished just for waking up every morning, poor excuse for a human.

Spitting is disgusting. I hope he (Rooney) gets a telling off.
Beating up a team mate at training, sticking cigars in YTS players eyes, fighting in nightclubs and countless other incidents involving Barton over the years show that he is a tosser of the highest order, and deserves no place in football. The fact that people are prepared to pay him tens of thousands per week disgusts me beyond belief - if I did that in my job, regardless of how good I was (or am :-) ), I would be sacked and would find it hard to be re-employed elsewhere, unlike that tossbag who seemingly has short visioned chairmen wanting to pay him even more.
Is that justification enough?

Nogger players live in a different world. Not all of them. The majority are ordinary hard working blokes with families looking to pay the bills like the rest of us. Difference is they don't know how long they've got to earn such a wage. Leaving Premiership players out of the debate, AVERAGE Championship players earn £195,750, League One players £67,850 and League Two £49,600. Remember that's average so there will be many earning a lot less than these figures. Many players will be lucky to be earning £300-£350 per week plus match bonuses. Barton should be banned from football for life, but just look at Adrian Mutu:- September 2004, he failed a drugs test for cocaine, and was sacked on 29 October 2004, then signed a five-year contract with the Italian club Juventus on January 12, 2005.

No knowing eye. They are islolated from reality. They spend their time roasting and drinking cocktails whilst wearing tuxedos and when they get done for drink driving invariably bribe the police officers concerned. They break down when the woman doesn't come to cut their toe nails.

Newcastle can only fine Barton a maximum of two weeks wages. If they fined him more or cut his wages then he would become a free agent. Keagan if he has any sense should try to get some money for him during this transfer window, if it’s true some other clubs would sign him. The FA is right to put him through their disciplinary system. Any ban could take into account any matches missed whilst inside. Opps his jail term was carefully timed for the close season. I wonder if the Stoke-on-Trent magistrates’ court would jail a pottery worker during potter’s fortnight only.
