Curry is now the most popular meal in the UK...originating in India and brought to Great Britain by White Colonialists in the 1850's..only becoming popular amongst the general-public 130 years later.. There are basically 12 different sorts of 'curry' originating from different parts of the world..mainly Asia...each curry tells it's own story..where it's from..what it's made of...a bit like 'Oatcakes'..tell someone you like oatcakes and chayse and they think you come from Stoke Anyway to occupy the mind a bit before the season starts..here is Dribbles Non-Definitive Guide to Curry; KORMA - mild..yellow, coconutty DOPIAZA - this means 'Double-Onions' which are the main ingredients PASANDRA - curry sauce..coconut/almondy RHOGAN JOSH - rhogan means 'fat'...josh means 'heat'...i;e; spicy with tomatoes BHUNA - medium, thick sauce with vegetables DHANSAK - medium, sweet/sour MADRAS - hot, red, chillies PASHIA - hot, chillies, lemon juice and tomato puree JALFREZI - onion, green chillies VINDALOO - speaks for itself TINDALOO - hotter version of vindaloo!! PHALL - hottest curry of all - chillies, ginger and fennel TOP 3 ;D 1 Madras 2 Pasandra 3 Dhansak What do other Stokies like?

my favourite has to be chicken tikka, pilau rice, vindaloo plain sauce, plain or garlic nan depending how adventurous i'm feeling :-) just talking about a curry makes me want one.
got this theory about curries, i'm sure some of the spices are addictive cos i could eat one every day !
