Just watching an old Liverpool Prem game on ESPN and adverts for 'Hooch' at Anfield. I remember when it first came out shops were selling out everywhere-seemed to disappear over-night.
K Cider- remember that? Trendy black bottle was kind of OK I thought.
Also Skol? Do they still sell Skol? Was bloody awful I thought but the Hagar ads were cool- remember the beer mats as well you put your fingers in? Last time I saw Skol was on draught in the Malbank in Nantwich.
Was in Angeles in the Phillipines last week and they had Colt 45- got me thinking about 'Breaker' lager a favourite from back at school.
Any more anyone?

Skol - oh my god, may as well have drunk Calibre there, it was foul stuff ;-D
Two Dogs - much like Hooch but I think nicer, died out with the Hooch days.
Kilkenny - tough one this but not seen it in ages in any pubs about.

All the Irish pubs here have Kilkenny- remember the Guinness bitter also? There was a strong Irish ale that began with a C I think- can't for the life of me remember the name
Caffreys just came to me- is that still available?

K, Skol, Breaker, and Caffrey's are all still available from Bargin Booze for low, low prices.
Hooch, I remember a massive campaign against that cause the adverts were obviously directed at kids... I was never even old enough to drink it under-age.

I can remember going to an Oranjeboom promotion night at the Roaring Meg in Biddulph years ago.
The Sapporro silver beer cans where the whole top peeled off so you had what looked like a silver beer mug- great beer as well. Still see in bottles but never the cans.

There was a cider shaped like a stick of dynamite called TNT- was pretty gross.
I remember the bottles you're referring to viking if we're thining of the same one- The top used to peel off
There was an awful passion fruit flavoured drink called 'Mardi Gras' and 'Taboo' (remember that) had another green alternative called 'Mirage'.

Yup Taboo's still going as well. I'm just thinking as well, I've never seen a cider as strong as K, 8.4%, that's barmy.

There's the beer and cider room which is an absolute fucking tip, random cans lying on the floor everywhere... Half the time if you need to put a four-pack on the shelf you have to hunt down one of them little plastic holder things then search for each can seperately. It's ridiculous, I've been there for the best part of two years on and off (barring Uni time) and it's never been any better. Crates everywhere other than Carling party packs and Stella 440 mls which are the only organised things... Then we have the wine and spirit room which is actually really tidy. Before I came everything was stackd on storing shelves willy nilly but one quiet day shift I stacked everything in alphabetical order and it's stayed like that ever since... My legacy to the world. What are your tills like... Cause ours are from 1985... Three years before I was even born.

yep, sounds exactly the same ;D and we have old kwik save trolllies that are ready to fall bits! every sunday i tidy the whole room up ready for delivery but when i next come in its back to the usually shit tip. the other people that work there are simply useless.
and as for the tills........ woeful! 1985 sounds about right ;D

You have TROLLIES?!? Fuck me son, your shop must be massive!!! Ours is about the size of an average living room! I always find that day staff do fuck all other than sit about reading the Sentinel and serving people, then complain that it's been bastard busy leaving us night staff to stack all the shelves. Wank. Utter wank.
