Burslem or Blurton?
Where did he grow up?
I think its Blurton because he lived with his nan but I'm being told that it was actually Burslem. Does anyone know for definite the correct answer?

I think it was Burslem, there's nothing in his autobiography about it. Just says he was born in Stoke and lived there until he was old enough to make it London with his dad before moving out to LA to his mum. He goes on to say that he never had anything against Stoke it was just never an accepting city for musical talent and the whole 'Bohemian' fashion in the Sixties never really got going.
I didn't really answer your question did I ;D

Well seen as he wasn't born until 1965 he wouldn't know much about bohemian fashion in the 60's anyway.Plus wasn't he born in London but moved here when he was still a toddler?

He was born in Hampstead and moved up here.
He said it was the same town as Lemmy (which was Burslem) but I'm not sure if that was right.
Thanks anyway guys!

His autobiography says " I was born on July 23, 1965, in Stoke On Trent, England, the town where Lemmy Kilmister of Motorhead was born twenty years before me...My dad took me to London as soon as I could handle the train ride. I was maybe two or three but instictively knew how far away it was from Stoke's unending miles of brown brick row houses and quaint families."
As for the Bohemian thing, yeah I misread that. It was his dad Anthony who was into that sort of thing. His mum, Ola made costumes for David Bowie apparently.

It was Blurton. His nan lived on Beaconsfield Drive & he useda go Sutherland Primary School. He also nicked the "Take me down to the Blurton chippy, where the chips are green & the gravy is grity" song for one of their biggest hits (obviously changed the words though ;D )

Fenton has been thrown into the Equation now but GArage your knowledge on the school he went has won me the argument. I said he went to school in Blurton and thats where his nan lived!

What does make me laugh is when folk do these celebrity fan lists and someone often says- Slash is a Stoke fan ??? Have seen it on half a dozen sites He may have lived there for a brief while but absolutely no link to football whatsoever to talk of never mind Stoke.

I was a bit bothered by the old Pottermouth speech going "Do eet fer Slash and Sweet Child of Mine."
I mean, you might as well have said do it for Bruce Springsteen and Born to Run*
*an equally crap tune.
