This is a decision for common-sense and sends a clear message to all the drugs cheats. IMO

Like you say probably the right decision but there is an argument to suggest that he did his time and has now condemned his own actions.
Compare that to the abysmal Miss Ohuruogu who anyone with a brain knows is a cheat who will sadly be representing us this summer.
No consistency.

I disagree, he should be allowed to run. He did the crime, he’s done the time.

he should be allowed to run, think he has learnt his lesson and he's the only sprinter for GB who can win a medal.

The British rule was and has been for a while that anyone caught useing drugs can NOT represent Britain in the Olympics. So if he did represent us then he wouldn't have done his time!
Why should he take the place of a man who has trained hard and dedicated his life to running when he took the short cut to give him an unfair advantage? Also the poor sods that were hi team'mates' had their medals taken off them cos of his cheating. Serves him right imo

Spot on BEB.
You make a mistake and they take your career away from you, it's crazy.
Taking drugs is a serious offence but a life ban - it's a joke.

Team GB have no chance of any medals in the amle events any more thanks to that now...10.10 is prob easily enough for a final and a good chance of bronze at least!!!

Definitely the right decision, it doesn't matter if other people treat the Olympics as a scam to win at all costs: we're going there as clean as we can (and besides I'm sick of the Olympics, it's an OTT farce).

I'd ban him for life if I had my way.
Sooner or later sports like athletics and cycling (and many more that have drugs problems) need a starting point whereby afterwards anyone caught on performance enhancing drugs should be banned for life.

Because of the publicity that Chambers himself has stoked up, this result sends out the clearest signal to our young up and coming athletes that taking performance enhancing drugs is just not worth it. Therefore, I think its a brilliant result.
As for Chambers himself not being able to take part in the Olympics, I couldnt be less bothered about the fuckin cheat.

I think British Athletics is missing a trick here.
It's about time we started sending out athletes who were completely off their tits like every other country.

Id let him race, he's served a ban from the sport and tried out other areas such as rugby and American football, he's clean now and running well, better than the other British sprinters...
Just noticed on BBC that it's been rejected, brill.
