Hellu!
I feel Kitson-Fuller can be our new heros at SCFC. Just like Biggins-Stein back in those days when they scored a lot one season in particular. Was it 55 goals together all in all then?
The difference is, now it will happen in the 1st division and not in the 3rd...
Keep the faith!
;D
happy again//:musik

Biggins/Stein, fuck me, that's as far back as I can remember; and even then I can't even remember seeing them in the flesh... never mind having a well enough footy-informed brain to say if they were any good or not! Just chat about the bastards... But that'll do me! STEEEIIIIINNNOOOO!

didnt Bertie recently reveal he HAD to leave as he needed the signing on fee to pay off some debts to the N40?
if thats true then any pretence that the N40 are 'true' supporters needs re-examining.
if Bertie had stayed I think we could have gone the rest of that season unbeaten & broken the 110 points barrier.

I loved the Bertie / Golden One partnership days, they seemed the most exciting partnership together. You knew you were going to get goals, you just didn't know when or how.
Steino would always miss a couple of gilt edged chances every game, and you'd think, well, that's it. Then he'd go on a mazey dribble and slot one in from some odd angle, which looked harder to score than the ones he'd missed.
I felt childishly excited when he cam on in the Banks of England game. Although we didn't see a goal from him, I'm glad I saw a move that went... Stein.... Pejic......Stein again....... in the flesh! Dream stuff! ;D
Regarding the new partnership? A proven goalscorer in Kitson joining a damn hard working handful of a goalscorer and chaser of lost causes in Fuller sounds like a tasty partnership. Here's hoping...
