I can't be the only Stokie who is pleased Wright is not fit. Wilko is a far better defender in my opinion.

Should be keen to impress his 'other' club

You're not Fornside. Wright is poor in the extreme. My only disappointment is that he's not moved Delap back there yet. He is equally as bad, but we have to play him due to his freakish long-throws. I'm sure he'd cause less damage at RB than CM.

Delap is also supposed to be pants @ RB.
perhaps it should be like american football - we could just bring Delap on for throw ins.

I'd expect when Diao is fully fit that we'll see Delap given a few outings at right back to see how he copes - several fans at previous clubs seem confident that is his best position. I'd be happy with that.
At the moment there isn't really much alternative to Delap for defensive midfield is there?

To be honest, I'm no fan of his long-throws. I think we've scored once off one so far, and mostly they go straight to the opposition keeper. Sadly I guess that Tony sees it differently so we are stuck with the buffoon.

yes they do land in the keepers arms a lot of the time but what more can the lad do that launch the thing into the middle of the six yard box, its our forwards responibility to get in front of the keeper.

If I recall the so called goal came off about three players from his throw in. Now if you listen to our hallowed Manager about Delap there is no way he will bend,he thinks he is a marvelous player. I could see him sacrificing Eustace before Delap.

naypalm is correct, in that all Delap can do is take the throw, and it's our other outfield players responsibility to make the most of the opportunity.
Unfortunatley they generally fail to do so, and this renders the only thing that Delap is actually any good at, as pointless.
There are only really two players in the team who are not up to the standard, and they are Wright and Delap. I'd hope that the management could see that and do something about it.
I'll not hold my breath though.
