Brilliant Bosted - also saw them at, I think the Roundhouse.
Their name was a pistake on a South American pan pipes ensemble that were strangely popular at the time (1976/77), Alberto Y Los Trios Paraguayas. When I saw them, there were two elderly white-haired ladies who'd obviously thought they'd be listening to pan pipes there - fair to say they weren't impressed.

A blast from the past there. They were my contemporaries at the University of Manchester when they were a comedy rock band, and I saw them several times. The spoof punk came later.
