In the dreaded bleep test.Players were split into 2 groups,Demar beating Jimmy Phillips into a close 2nd in the 1st group.Cressie won the 2nd group, beating Buxton into 2nd,with lawrence finishing 3rd.Cressie and Buxton looked super fit and have obviously steered clear of Mcdonalds during the summer break. Jon Parkin also became the 1st human to run a sub 9 second 100 metres when someone rung the dinner bell in the players canteen.

Seeing that Lawrence had a groin op a week or so after the season ended you'd expect his fitness levels to be slightly down.

the bleep test is nasty i got to about round 11 fitness is more important in the prem than the championship so its a good sign that most players are looking fit

I hadn't put Buxton in the superfit league though. If only Buxton had pace, then i think we would have one hell of a player.

'One hell of a player'?
Honestly, one season out of the first team picture and now he's a world-beater?
Buxton is one of the WORST full-backs ever to play for Stoke surely? At the moment he is about two divisions higher than his ability dictates.
I don't care how fit he is, he won't play a minute for Stoke this season (at least if we're serious about staying up). Give me the useless Griffin anyday.
I think if we're being honest, we need to say the same about Cresswell.

Ye Buxton was wank when he played season before last, but when he came on at times last year I thought he looked a different player, maybe not a first choice but definately could play as back up for whatever defenders we bring in. He is versatile aswell which always a plus point in the prem.

Buxton would be one hell of a player he could defender better, pace would be a bonus!
