Do we know if he is fit enough to start or for that matter be on the bench? Has he been training with the side recently?

Judging by Pulis' interview, I don't think he'll be involved for several weeks.
He is training, but Pulis said there was no time limit for when he'd be in ciontention to figure.

No but I guess he'll be on bench.
I did once say I didn't want him back even though I thought he was the best player we had last year by a mile, but now i'm happy.

I think he will be involved with the reserves on Monday at Coventry as well as full training.
Perhaps be avaliable for bench selection over the busy 26th December- 1 January period.
We shall see. It will become clear before too long I'm sure!

He can't be any less fit than if he'd spent the last couple of months in prison and that hasn't seemed to hurt Pericraps selection chances, has it?

if he was that concerned about drawing wages from us while not playing why didn't he agree to get himself fit before drawing a salary. in effect we are now paying him to get fit

Or he will be playing. I think he will be on the bench and then start against WBA-just a feeling probably totally wrong but hey!

spitthedog...
when Salif said he didnt want to sign until he was fit, he meant his condition, as in- his knee issue was sorted...not that he was fit enough to play..
He could still run rings around Porkin!!

The point about perricant is a valid one, but, he doesn't get a game now anyway. I would be tempted to give him a few reserve games and come off the bench in a few first team games to bring him up to speed so to speak.

My guess is that although it is unlikely from TP's comments that he will feature at Blackpool. His potential prescence on the bench against WBA might add a bit of pre Christmas spice to that fixture, but as we know, Tony does things HIS way, in his time. In fact, it sounded like he would not expect Salif to start before Jan - probably at home to Hull, giving him one full game before the Newcastle game. I hope I am wrong though - I would pitch him straight in on Saturday, fit or not.

I think we should get rid of Perricant as soon as...he’s a waste of time.
Don’t think Salif will play for a few weeks yet...but I bet he’s better than most when hes unfit anyway.

Even if he is physically fit (which I strongly doubt), no way can he be match fit and that is a gradual process of a few reserve games followed by some sub appearances off the bench.
I seriously doubt whether we'll be seeing him at all much before the middle of January. Like the mann said, our Tone likes to do things his own way.

TP told me last night 2 weeks and SALIF will be ready. So it does look as if Boxing Day could see the return of him.

It would be good if he travelled and warmed up with the team, get him back into it.

boothenbus spot on, get him back into the swing of things and hope he will be ready for the new year. cant see pulis risking diao when he is not fit, weve chased him for months, we can wait a little longer til he is fit.
