If Iran did have nukes then why the hell are they still enriching uranium?
Their country would just be a crater in the ground by now if they had nukes ;D

Iran still hasn't managed to enrich uranium to over 3% yet, you have to enrich it to over 90% to make a nuclear weapon, they're years off that, and according to all 16 US intelligence agencies they don't even have a current nuclear weapons program, although whydelilah seems to know more than they do, I'm still waiting for his evidence on this, so far he just keeps replying with glib remarks, probably aimed at antagonizing me rather than adding anything to the debate.

being such an environmentally screwed onb kinda guy, Al Gore, what do you suggest we do about the growing problem of Global warming that faces our world in the next coming decades? Will Stoke-on-Trent be under threat from flooding or will it become the New seaside resort to be at like Blackpool??

Well there is a discussion in the scientific community that the increasing pollution in the atmosphere will block out IR rays which will cool us down

Well if we banned everyone under the age of 21 from using a computer it would save a massive amount of energy

Capitalism and Free trade won the war of economics, and promptly killed the planet . Whilst capitalism and free trade florish we don't stand a cat in hells chance of combating global warming, whilst share holders (many of them pension funds for those that will be dead before the results of their actions are seen) demand a bigger profit every year . forcing companies to cut costs left right and center , pushing manufacturing of everything to the "low pay" countries..... and shipping the raw materials and the completed products all over the world .
Capitalism and Globaisation won, and the whole world lost

What would you prefer....
Communismn and a single market economy....
get real
it's called life and living, not some eutopia that cares for every man, woman and beast
The Industrial Revolution kick-started modern day living and brought in technologies that have overtaken man's ability to cope and control them.

I'd prefer a world where a "green" car such as the Toyota Prius is actually green, and not some triumph of technology over logic . the nickel in the batteries is mined in canadia, processed in europe and then shipped to japan. by the time a new prius arrives in the UK , you would have to drive it for over 20 years to offset the additional pollution caused by its building and shipping .
I'd like a world where being environmentally friendly isn't a marketing policy I'd like a world where Multinationals are kept in check my governments, not the other way round I'd like a world where the UN crushed every dictator who raped his country and killed his opposition, not just those with big oil deposits
I'd like a world where the poor got richer and the rich got poorer , so the rich were still comfortable, but the poor could eat enough food, and heat their homes in the winter

No, I'd have an exercise bike hooked upto a gnerator so I could only post when I peddaled fast enough .
The world is dying on its arse , we (as a civilisation) are paying lip service to environmental issues . The end of the world is nigh

Why are you so ignorant as to assume that Communism and single market economies are the only alternative to the complete fucking mess that we are in right now? I suggest you read this.... it's a good starting point for broadening your horizons, and perhaps opening your eyes to the fact that there are a lot of places in the world where "life and living" is being crushed for the sake of corporate greed and ignorant consumers.

can you name me a period in history when things were better than they are now
your type seem to think that the world has turned into some corporate devil place
if you want to broaden your thinking, start looking at previous regimes and times in history
it's only because of the information chain that makes people aware of what's going on
you people make me laugh, you really do
"complete fucking mess that we are in right now?"
give me strength

Better for who? I would be intrigued to know exactly what "type" you think I am? Are you suggesting information should be surpressed so that we have no clue what is going on? That ignorance should be encouraged? I'm glad my opinions make you laugh.....quite franky, some of yours make me sick.

the human race
your "type" is the type who think there was/is a better society and conditions in the world that exist now.
If you are going to cite third world economies being exploited by the west etc I can assure you that historically there has been far greater horror stories that are being experienced now.
the human being is market and competitively driven, always was and always will be... the utopia that you seem to be pertaining to has never and will never exist.
The laws of economics are simple capitilism or communism.
As regards my views making you sick... flippin eck you must have a very delicate sensibility.
