The north one is full and we are the northen most team in the southern and would be the southern most team in the northern one. Added to that Brum, Derby and Reading were all in the southern one so it was to be expected.

We have struck unlucky being in the southern section. Trips to Portsmouth (deep joy) whilst we won't get to visit places like Old Trafford, Goodison and Anfield. Very annoying.

Used to play at Gigg Lane but then FC United came along and offered Bury a better propositon
They do indeed play at Northwich now (I went to Man Utd v Liverpool there last season- decent ground)
Forny- we do have Pompey BUT we miss out on Newcastle, Sunderland and Middlesborough

The record crowd to date for a Liverpool FC Reserves fixture at the stadium is 10,546 on the 26 February 2008 against Manchester United
Not bad I suppose ;D

I wonder why we are playing our reserve games at the Brit this season? Is the pitch at Newcastle Town not up to Premier Reserve standard? It has always looked a bit undulating to me and I've never understood why Newcastle didn't spend some of the windfall from the annual Stoke and Vale friendlies to get themselves a good pitch.
What would be good is if they could eventually create decent spectator facilities at the Mich for Reserve, Academy and Stoke Ladies games.

- Yes after a bit of a moan form the egg-chasers they're back at the Wolves stadium. Believe it or not they complained that the football played there was cutting it up for the rugger team! Obviously Warrington play the ball very close to the turf. Go figure..... Something to do with the amount of studs on the boots??? That would have been soooooo handy for me! ;D It just about sums up the problem Stoke has in terms of identity and where it fits. Ive alway said it's too far North to be even the Midlands and not quite North enough to be "The North". Stoke is just "Stoke". Fornside- it's probably yet another stipulation required for being in the Prem - "Thou shalt provide a high standard of facilties for reserve games (none of this non-league roughing it for even 2nd-string prima-donnas). ;D

i think this year we should see some of the youngsters in the reserve team given a chance in the cup competitions . the likes of kimmy phillips and wedderburn should be given a chance to prove their worth

Kimmy Phillips has been doing really well for the ladies side and hopefully she will do well in the cup competitions next season I agree. The welcome sight of seven substitutes gives youngsters a better chance of getting themselves in the squad
