One for the older Stokies who remember Viz.. Not sure whether it exists anymore Were some great characters; Billy the Fish Bottom Inspectors Albert Gordon (traffic warden) Jack Black and his dog Silver Aldridge Prior Norbort Colon Paul Whicker (tall vicar) Johny Fartpants Buster Gonad Fat Slags Fru T Bunn Mrs Brady (old lady) Steve Irwin (nursing home care assistant) Victorian Dad Eight Ace Biffa Bacon Terry Fuckwit Raffles Gentleman Thug; "Could you address your remarks to my manual extremity, before you fornicate off, as my physiognomy appears not to be currently listening" 10 years before Catherine Tates "Am I bovvad?", nicked off Viz ;D Anyone else remember VIZ?

The Fat Slags were my role models obviously , always had a soft spot for young Finbar but Billy the Fish was the first place I looked, who can forget Tommy Brown's recovery from his fatal heart attack?

top tips were great
just found these ;D
Create instant designer stubble by sucking a magnet and dipping your chin into a bowl of iron filings
A hedgehog trained to scuttle up and down the table from guest to guest makes an unusual mobile cheese and pineapple cube nibble dispenser at cocktail parties
Domestos is an ideal substitute for Blue Curaco, and far less pricey. It gives any cocktail a bit of "oomph."
Save money on expensive personalised car number plates by simply changing your name to match your existing plate. Mr KVL 74IY, Lincoln.

Roger Mellie surely?! Although Major Misunderstanding always manages to raise a chuckle for some reason. And Viz is indeed still going strong and you can subscribe here Top Tips from the lastest issue include: Ladies. Cause unnecessary congestion at petrol forecourts by waiting for the pumps on the side nearest to your petrol cap, as the 9-foot long hose may not reach round your 5-foot wide hatchback

Was very proud to have a top tip published 2 months ago Pathetic Sharks every time- brought them back recently. Fruit T Bunn is great- whatever happened to Aldridge Prior? The Roger Mellie golf was made into a cartoon. Look forward to it every month if I can find it here

I have still got the Big Hard One ( best of Viz issues 1-12) Some of the early characters that didn't stand the test of time :
Professor Piehead Skinheed Tommy and his majic shoes Smiles the clown Mr Mediocre Student Grant Pathetic Sharks Norman the Doorman Victor Pratt the Stupid Twat Paul Whicker the Tall Vicar Mr Logic Bugger Me Bob and Tales of the Unexpected Big Vern Frank the Princess Lonely Sidney Sidebottom Captain Incontinent Victor and his Boa Constrictor Rude Kid
I think issues 1-12 didn't have "Top Tips" but had "Charlie Pontoon's Talking Sense Column", " Read & Learn with Naylor Hammond BSc" and "Star Mail".

Studen G(w)rant appears the odd time- really does sum up some Uni students, reminds me of someone who posts on here the odd time. Captain Incontinent was great ;D Big Vern still fairly regular.
