Rhos on Sea, close to Llandudno and should not cost you a fortune. Plenty to keep the kids happy and some great walks to be had. Take a trip to anglesea one day, Snowdon, and a cracking day to be had in Betsy Co Ewed ( think thats how its spelt)

alright of we are talking "The Lakes" . Ulswater, the dead end side , east side of the lake from Pooley Bridge down to martindale . Martindale isn't even a village despite having 2 churches , there is maybe half a dozen buildings at the road junction near the Beck, and the rest are scattered across the hillsides of the valleys there are a couple of properties to rent in martindale , some are not advertised though we used to stay at Hallin Bank and Cotehowe when i was a child but neither seem to rent at the minute however this one is www.lakeland-cottage-company.co.uk/Properties/Beckside%20Cottage/beckside.html walked past it many a time , lovely place
