I can smell the whiff of cynicism already... This at the time , as the creaking hinge of the War Chest creaks open and great clouds of dust and moths dissipate to reveal a plethora of untold riches and screwed up betting slips with bet365 emblazoned on them. Stand by your wirelesses on Wednesday...Point thy ariels towards the Cheapside (in Hanley)... And behold the unveiling...!!

As Pulis has already said , the money has been there all along he just didn't want to squander it, thus 700k on Ameobi.
I'll let you digest that one.

Mr Wrong....£700k is a small price to pay for the £60 million jackpot...!

That isn't my point, however if you can explain to me the pivotal moments that Ameobi provided to us that made our promotion safe then please go ahead.

Mr Wrong...Neither I, or Ilford Dave are saying that it was a pivotal moment.....
Those are your words.

No my point being that you are implying that only at this time are the hinges of the 'warchest' opening' I am suggesting that to spunk 700k on Ameobi , who lets face it did fuck all towards our promotion, suggests that the 'warchest' as you put it was well and truley open a fair while ago, thus a club record signing to name but one.

Mr Wrong...No No...That is once again your take on things....I am saying that St Peter is about to reinforce his commitment and ambition for the club to stay up. I have always advocated that this time around Coates' tenureship would be different. I think I was right on that one....Deffo with regards to Pulis' ability to get us there. Not everyone agreed with me however,...

Sorry, the description of 'moths' etc tends to describe with the 'creaking of hinges' that you are implying something that hasn't been open for a while. That does certainly not imply reinforcing of any kind. If that is what you meant I suggest you revise your description. As for Pulis, you definitely got it right, fair play, did a great job which myself and I'm not alone in saying didn't think he would.

Mr Wrong.....I was merely pointing out that it has been 2 months since we splashed any cash...
Now that I have clarified this...Would you agree with me that Pulis will keep us up.?
Yes or No.?

No. And not because I don't want him to. I think lack of investment and lack of managerial skill experience in the top flight will be our stumbling block. You have to admit that lack of signings is a concern and the chances of getting players of the merit that we need to stay up are minimal.
I await to be happily proved wrong.
